I haven't had or used an electric can opener since my childhood. I'm in my late 30s now and had come to rely on manual openers. This is a great tool to have in the kitchen for quick and easy can opening. The product comes with a blade sharpener which doesn't seem to be the highest quality but is helpful to have regardless. The can opener itself is compact, does not make a great deal of noise, and has worked seamlessly since obtaining it. I have no complaints and would strongly recommend!

I had used a manual can opener for a while due to lack of space in my kitchen, but they seem to not last very long, and mine was ready to be replaced. I was getting ready to have rotator cuff surgery, so I wanted something that would be easy to use, and this one looked good. The description said you could open cans with just one hand, and while the lever is easy to push down with one hand, you still have to hold the can up underneath until it starts going, so it does take two hands to get it started and also to get the can off once it's open. I found it a little tricky to get the blade lined up just right on the can, but once you hit the right spot, it opens the can very smoothly! I like that the blade mechanism can be removed for easy cleaning, but it comes out almost too easily, and when I first got it I thought I had broken it when the blade came out and I couldn't get it back in. Again, once you know how it works, it's not difficult to take it out and put it back in, but it was a little frustrating at first. The grey color blends nicely with my stainless steel appliances and sink, and I like that it's tall enough to open bigger cans easily. I'm generally happy with it now that I've gotten used to how it works!

รขยยฆLooks sturdy and I like the fact that it opens cans in a way that the sharp edges that normally ensue when using the usual can openers.Back in the 80's my mom and grandma always had an electric can opener and was very satisfied with it, stating..." Why would anybody ever want to use a manual hand crank can opener when they could make their lives so much easier using an electric one". Through the years the electric can openers developed a great decline in dependibility, building up to complete frustration when it came time to the supposedly simple task of opening a can of food. In fact I'd reverted to hand crank and G.I. versions, swearing off electric can openers all together.The first time I used it I thought..Wait a minute here, this thing didnt work..where is the little metal wheel on the top and why didnt I see a puncture on the top of the can. Finally I pulled the can up by the top rim and, walla, It came off as clean as a whistle. Not only did it open the can cleaner and better than any can opener I ever tried before, You can put the lid back on and store it in the fridge! Never seen a can opener like this one.. No more frustration no more cut hands

I have used many electric can openers for over 30 yrs...this is the worst...motor works...very frustrating to get it to start the can opening process...takes too many tries to connect can...it leaves very jagged, sharp edges on can lid....Danger...you will cut your fingers

Constamment en train de me battre pour ouvrir une canne, il faut que je reprenne au moins 5 6 7 des fois 10 fois avant que la canne soit complรยจtement ouverte. Je sais pas. C'est moi que c'est pas comment que รยงa fonctionne mais c'est pas la premiรยจre fois que j'ai un nouveau bouteille. Tant qu'รย moi รยงa vaut pas grand-chose 1 sur 10 sinon recommandรยฉ รย acheter. Je vais essayer de voir si je peux le retourner passer, รยงa ne vaut pas la peine

ITEM REVIEWED : HOMOKUS Electric Can Opener, with Easy-Clean Detachable Cutting Lever____________________________________________________________________________________________This can opener does a great job. Mostly until now I've used manual can openers - some are better than others. Usually the better ones "grab" onto and hold the can better as you are opening them. This "HOMOKUS Electric Can Opener" holds onto the can very well and opens every can I've tried with ease. After a lifetime of using manual (and some real good/expensive) can openers this opener really surprised me on how easy it is to use.The only "hiccup" I had with it was setting it up. This was due to having to insert the blade/handle into the opener to "complete" its setup. The included instructions helped (some) with this task. **BUT** once I figured out how easily this part (handle/blade) is to install and remove I loved it! It will make keeping the blade and magnet so much easier to keep clean.** A ** BIG ** PLUS ** is that it is CSA approved !Honestly this was somewhat of a surprise to me. Most electronics I buy online is not. This electric can opener is clearly marked with its CSA approval status. See my picture attached of the label from the bottom of the opener.For this price I can highly recommend this product. We've only opened 8 to 10 cans with it so far - how often do you open a new can? If I have any further experience or updates on using this opener I will update this review with further comments. So far I am amazed how well it works.
