HVAC repair person quoted $444 to replace the entire Honeywell unit, including the power supply and mounting bracket. This bulb was a direct replacement for the bulb only. It was very simple to replace the bulb and much less expensive. Honeywell recommends removing power to your unit for at least 15 minutes before you remove the bulb from the unit. UV bulbs that have a residual voltage can still emit UV rays that may burn your skin and/or cause damage to your eyesight if you look directly at them. Once the wait is over it is about a 5 minute task.

I was very disappointed that the bulb didn’t even last 1 year!!! It went dark and I assume it wasn’t working.
