The grommets are okay, but the grommeting tool is poorly made. Punch accuracy is awful and leaves sharp edges poking out of the finished grommet.

Great product that came with all the items needed to install grommets in material. Came with many different color grommets and a tool that looked to be sturdy and well built.First punch I made through fabric caused the metal punch arm to break off from the punch tool, rendering the punch tool useless. It would be difficult to use this tool without the punch.Very upset this happened as this seemed like a great tool that would work well for many projects.

I just got this and did some tests towards my projects. I used 2, 4 and 5 layers of card stock (green hanging file folders cut up) and the hole punch went through all like buttah and the grommets, too! I used the grommets that came with the tool for the 2 layers, and used some longer shaft grommets to go through the five layers. I like the little ring washer things and had no problems at all even though I've never used those before. What a difference! The back of the grommet (when using the ring) was super smooooooth!!I also like that the tool has an etched-in indicator of what part of the grommet goes on which side of the tool jaw.

Super easy to use, great multi purpose tool for installing, even cuts through the fake leather fabric I'm using with ease. SO much better than the first kit I bought which just had the little tube like tools that didn't work AT ALL for me

This worked great for the first 10 holes or so. Then the peice that makes the holes broke. I had to finish the project by making holes with scissors, then adding the grommets with the tool. I really wanted to like this. It's just not made to be very durable.
