We had an issue in our gun safe with some mold- cleaned the items in the safe than placed this unit inside. The unit was worked as described and turned pink once moisture absorbed then dried it in oven as described. We have had it for about 2 months and it is working perfectly to keep out safe dry and mold free.

I've had this product in my gun safe for 6 months or longer and love it. It's a reasonably priced option but works great. I've recharged it 2-3 times and that process is easy. I put it on the lowest oven rack and have not had any issues recharging it. 300 degrees for two to three hours and it's ready to go again. Highly recommend!

This is very good. It’s easy to tell when you need to put it in the oven again. It’s very helpful being able to put it in the oven.

I just love this little thing. I used to have a cheap electric dehumidifier in my gun safe and it did ok but this little Hornady works 100% better. I've owed it for almost a year now and I'm just getting starting to see the beads turn to a different color ( which your experience may differ from mine depending on the moisture contents of where you store your gun safe) I'm figuring I probably have another couple of months before I have to dry it back out but the best news is I haven't found not one speck of rust on any of my guns or knives or anything else I have stored in there!! I couldn't recommend a better than this! Thanks again Hornady for another great product!!!

Great item for safes, very easy to use, just set in safe, when it turns color (the little beads) then you just put it in the oven for a couple of hours and they return the original color and you put them back in the safe.

I’ve had other reusable canister dehumidifiers but none works as good as the Hornady.

Item arrived damaged due to poor packaging. Was still functional, but damaged none the less, did not return item.

Easy to use. Easy to recharge when the Hornady Canister becomes saturated. Good Value IMO. This is a great product for a variety of reasons, first and foremost, if you do not have access to external power this is a superb alternative to powered dehumidifier. They also make a larger unit. Same shape just larger. Love this thing. We all despise rust LOL.

Came super quick ,undamaged. A box in a box 📦. A bit bigger than expected ,,Bonus .it did need a charge once it arrived. I just popped it in oven on low for 2hrs until the beads turned blue. Please remember to remove the pop out disc and window before placing in oven ,as this will prevent the window from melting .would recommend 5 *

After reading a few negative comments about the drying renewal process, I've looked at the product and you can easily remove the round plastic window and his metal ring with a flat screwdriver. Put the dryer on a cookie sheet (parchemin) and a plate to dissipate heat on the dryer. Finally, put the whole thing on the bottom grill of the oven and put it 3-4 hours at 300°F. It's easy to do and will save you from future problem with platic window. Wait the dryer to cool down before putting back the plastic window and metal ring. Great Product. Love it.

Lorsqu'utilisé adéquatement lors du rechargement il n'y a vraiment aucun soucis. J'ai rechargé le mien après 3 mois d'utilisation simplement en retirant la petite vitre ainsi que l'anneau qui la retient (avec un tournevis plat ou un couteau à beurre) et déposé sur une plaque à biscuit sur la grille au point le plus bas dans le four. 300°F durant 5h pour être sur que toute l'humidité était évacuée. Les billes sont redevenues d'une belle couleur bleu marine.

Unit is a just light metal cage, but was boxed in protective factory packaging, inside a shipping box. Can was dinted on the top edge creasing the edge over and warping the entire top of the unit.packaging in marked??Not worth my time and effort to return it.
