I bought these after the motor burned out in my Oster Clipmasters. I wasn’t expecting to be wowed because of the cheap price (mine were only $85 because they were used and returned dirty.. but it’s not like I wasn’t going to get them dirty!). If I recall correctly, I bought the Clipmasters for around $300 ages ago. These things are BEASTY. Yes, they are heavier. However, they are totally worth the weight when you see that they clip like butter and you can go *fast*.I just gave my super filthy, hairy mare a modified trace clip, and despite her dancing around and having limited light, they did a really good job. No lines, no stray tufts, a good even clip.They definitely did heat up in the 4-5 speed range like I’d expect any set of clippers to do, but I didn’t have any qwik kool blade spray on hand to fix the issue. Several breaks to cool off were necessary. I’m definitely going to pick up a can of kwik kool for the next clip, and may mess with the tension settings a bit too.5/5 would recommend for body clipping horses. Would probably not use them on dogs or anything smaller than sheep size because they are large clippers with a wide head. They’d be difficult to maneuver around tight/narrow spots.

I have a pony with cushings and needed a new set of clippers, but didn’t want to spend a fortune because he’s 31yrs old. These clippers did a fantastic job on him. The only reason I took a star off is because they do get pretty hot pretty quick, but that could be easily fixed with cooling spray. They are also a little loud, but he got used to them quickly. I was skeptical because of the price, but they did exactly what I needed them to do!

We have used these clippers for body clipping the winter coats on our two mares for the last three years. Keeping the blades cool and clean helps greatly.

First time we used these clippers they were loud and vibrated really hard. They got really hot. The 2nd time I used these clippers, they wouldn't work when held upside down, overheated and made weird noises. So, after using them a couple of times, they are useless. I would not recommend them and wouldn't buy them again.

These clippers worked great. Good for body clipping. Better than the $300 lister clippers. They did get warm. I let them rest four or five times during the trace clip. I would just use my little wahls for a few minutes while they cooled off. Good buy!

Works great on our cushings horse who has thick coat. Our other clippers would clog, get hot too fast and hardly get through her coat even with new blades. We gave these a shot and I didn’t have high hopes because of the low price but boy are they worth it! They clipped her whole body like butter. Smooth and they cut the hair great. Only down fall is that they are very loud and for some reason, they blow hair all over you badly but still worth it. Did entire body clip in less than an hour. They are heavy too but still worth it since it gets the job done as stated.

These are fantastic clippers! I use them to body clip my horses and they work flawlessly. Keep in mind that they are large clippers, so the blades and clippers will get hot with continued use. ALL large clippers do that! Take care of them. Frequently give the blades a quick spray from a can of a Cool Lube type product and turn clippers off to let cool if overall clippers get too hot. When body clipping my horse, I usually do 1/2 my horse, then turn clippers off for about 15 min to let cool, then do the other half. Also, for those complaining about the hair not cutting, it’s operator error. They are probably not lubing the blades enough or tightening/loosening the tension control appropriately. Just follow the directions in the book and all will be good. I love love love these clippers! No need to buy the Oster brand that is over $300. These work wonderfully. I highly recommend!

THESE CLIPPERS I JUST BOUGHT FROM AMAZON THIS WEEK AND IT ARRIVED NEXT DAY. THESE ARE EXTREMELY AWESOME, GOOD, DOES THE JOB VERY PROFESSIONALLY LIKE PET SMART AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY A TON FOR A JOB VERY WELL DONE WITH THESE CLIPPERS. I was super surprised when I opened this kit at the size of the unit that I received based on the price point I paid for it. I had to shave my cushing wooly bear mammoth horse and I have to say - this was SUPER efficient and powerful. Comes with motor replacement brushes - excellent option - the only reason it did not get 5 stars - a blade guard would have been a nice addition but am sure can be purchased. It's a hefty unit - quite heavy but powerful. My mare feels much better without that coat!!! Excellent item.

Clippers worked well. My first time clipping my miniature horse was a success ( her first time as well). Clippers are very loud but I took my time introducing them to her and all went well.

I got these to do general clipping for my horses. I can’t believe how loud they are! They worked ok , just surprising that they are extremely loud 😣
