Precautions for use

- Remember to lubricate the blade and apply a few drops of oil every 3 minutes to keep it cool. Clean the blade thoroughly before use if it becomes stuck with wool. Avoid running the clipper without cutting anything to prevent the blade from overheating. Lubricate and clean the clipper before storing it for prolonged periods.
- When shearing wool, ensure the clipper is held close to the sheepskin without applying excessive pressure, as this can injure the sheep. Avoid repeatedly cutting the same spot. Seek professional guidance or operate the clipper under the supervision of a professional.
- Wear safety goggles and gloves to protect your eyes and hands from wool fragments and blade contact.
- Keep the clipper away from water and moisture to prevent damage to the motor and electrical components.

LOVE LOVE LOVE - cut like butter !!I normally go through atleast 4 blades using my A5’s on our Shetland welsh pony, over the course of more then one day.These clippers went right through all of his layers, his entire body in exactly 10 minutes (minus his legs).It does leave lines, but I could care less. I went over it all easily with my A5 blade.See in the photo line reference, and where I went through to smooth out with my A5.

It's February here in northwest PA, so I'm not doing much clipping right now. However, I do give the goats a "maternity clip" to make cleanup easier after they freshen. These clippers went through their long winter coats like a hot knife through butter. The little bit I clipped looked nice and even with no streaks or long spots. It left enough length that my black goats still looked black when done, instead of taking the hair so short that it looks more gray than black.I think these will make short work of body clipping the whole goat, however they are on the heavy side (7 lbs) and the blade and clipper body itself are quite large so there will still be considerable work to be done with a smaller pair of clippers for hard to reach places.It comes in a nice hard sided case with oil, a cleaning brush and a tool for replacing the blades. The description says it comes with 3 blades, but mine only had one set of blades, already pre-installed on the clipper. It also came with some emery paper, which I assume is to sharpen the blades. I didn't really see anything in the instructions about that.This is a nice, well built set of clippers which was retailing at $79 when I got them. Right now they say unavailable, but if they come back for that price or even $20-$30 more, they are an excellent value.

I received these clipping shears through the Amazon Vine Voice program.These are powerful and well-built!! Plus, they come with everything in the advertisement photos, including a nice hard case for storage and transport of the clippers. Also, the cord is fairly long, which is great!I'm amazed at the affordable price for these as well. Fantastic option if you are looking for hide shears. Thumbs up!!
