I do a lot of woodworking and therefore do a ton of measuring. My favorite ruler is this little metal one that came with a square edge, just like this one. This kit has a big one attached to a large metal square and a tiny one that magnetically attaches to the base. Beyond stoked to now have small, medium, and large metal rulers. It seems silly I know, but if you are doing a lot of precise measurements, I'm pretty sure you get how much difference a good ruler can make. Everything else in this kit is awesome too. Metal, solid quality, and true. I'm more excited about this set than anyone should be about a simple combination square tool set, but they nailed all of the little things. It's like cooking an egg. Anyone can do it, but executing perfectly on all the little details will put your egg sandwich in a league of its own. Did I lose ya? Sorry about that.

For a low cost rafter square and combination square this is a quality set and is better than I expected. The combination square consists of an aluminum slide on a steel ruler. The scales on the ruler are etched into the steel and painted black for high visibility. The aluminum slide is complete with a screw in scribe pin and a bubble level.The rafter square has a removable plastic ledge stop for making lines across boards and when removed is good for inside corners. This is a feature I have wished for on other squares I have owned. The removable plastic piece can also be used as a small level. It also has a small 4 inch ruler magnetically attached to it that may be useful. Overall this is a very good set and I will use it in my wood shop a lot. I'm very glad I got this product.

For an inexpensive tool set, this was made much better than I expected. The rafter square has so heft to it, is thick and won't bend under normal use. The combination square is handy when you want to make marks fully across a 2 x 4 and other lumber. It will ensure you make a straight line and cut. Includes a level and measurement markers as well. The kit came with some other accessories like carpenters pencils, another level and small straight ruler (which can attach to either the rafter square or combination square). Would also make a nice gift for a handyman/woman you may know.

I always tend to lose my squares when I’m using on, so I decided to order another set a with me finishing my basement. This is perfect for marking the studs in building tI always tend to lose my squares when I’m using them so I decided to order another set and with me finishing my basement this is perfect for marking the studs and building the walls. He’s a good quality in work. Great they are true in square and would recommend.

The side level is detachable, and it easy falls off, I had to glue it so it doesn't fall whenusing it

Most of these items are repeats of what I already have on hand, but slightly different. For example, I already have rafter square, but it's made out of plastic and is sometimes too big for what I need. The one included here is smaller and definitely a higher quality, so it probably will become my main square now. Plus, the kit comes with two carpenter pencils -- I can always use more of those! The rundown ...Quality -- Everything is pretty good, although the plastic addition to the rafter square seems a bit cheap. Might just put that to the side and just use the square on its own. 5/5Utility -- Everything is good here. Does as advertised. 5/5Parity -- Seems like a really good deal. The price is on point. 5/5

They are only good for diyers, but not for trades who need to use these tools everyday. The parts just keep coming off.
