This was one of the less expensive timers so I wasnâ€™t expecting much. We just needed a timer for while we were on vacation so I didnâ€™t want to spend a lot. We have actually ended up using it every day. It was better than expected.

The left channel worked twice (i.e. enabled the hose to turn on, then off again twice) before its solenoid stopped working. I can still hear it try to engage, but basically, the left channel isn't working at all, manual or auto. The right channel is still fine and works as expected, but I need both channels to work.This has only been outside trying to "do its job" for a week or so.Bad deal.On a totally separate note, the UI on this thing is kind of terrible compared to the competition, if you're not careful it's a bit confusing. But that would be forgivable if it workedâ€”which it doesn't.

Good timers. Reliable operation. Actually easier to set up and use than other brands (e.g. Orbit) Iâ€™ve used in the past. So for the price, this is a great deal. But out of six or seven I have bought 3 had very leaky seals on the battery compartment. Means water gets in there and you end up either changing the battery or - worst case - end of life for the unit. That part is disappointing.

bought this to replace simialr unit that snapped off faucet. this is easy to program and has a more secure hose connection
