This thermometer worked great for measuring the temperature of Japanese/Korean Spa’s to know what temperatures were ideal, tolerable or painful. The thermometer is easy to use, roughed & seems accurate. Shows both F & C deg.

Ah, the humble thermometer. Usually about as exciting as watching paint dry... until you meet the GOATACURA Hot Water Bimetal. Let me tell you, this little brass beauty ain't your grandma's wallflower. It's a sassy siren of the steamy underworld, a diva of the degree, a Galileo of the geyser!Gone are the days of squinting at blurry lines in a lukewarm lava lamp. This 2-1/2" dial is a technicolor explosion of temperature truth. You want Fahrenheit? Bam! Celsius? Boom! It even throws in a little splash of ºC for good measure, like a multilingual chef whipping up a temperature tapas. And the accuracy? Don't get me started. This thing is sharper than a shark in a speedo. +/- 2%, they say. I say, forget it. This GOATACURA's got the hots for precision like nobody's business. It can tell the difference between a tepid tea party and a full-on volcanic eruption – and it does it with the panache of a peacock in a tutu.Installation? Easier than tying your shoes (speaking of, did you know there's a right way to do that? Mind blown!). The 1/2" NPT back mount is like a handshake for your pipes – smooth, secure, and built to last. Plus, the lead-free brass stem? Eco-friendly and tough as nails, like a vegan lumberjack with a Ph.D. in thermodynamics. So, if you're tired of thermometers that are about as exciting as watching grass grow, ditch the duds and grab yourself a GOATACURA. It's not just a thermometer, it's a party for your pipes, a fiesta for your faucets, a rock opera of righteous reading. Take it from me, this ain't no five-star review, it's a standing ovation with fireworks and a conga line of iguanas. Get yourself a GOATACURA, folks. You won't regret it.

I make guitars and am starting to use hot hide glue which is the traditional adhesive that has been used for centuries for guitar and violin making. Hide glue is excellent but it has to be used at a very exact temperature of 145F. Too cold and it doesn't spread, too hot and it becomes damaged. At present I am using a tiny cooking thermometer but it is hard to read the very small scale. This thermometer from GOATACURA is a good size and has a very readable dial, graduated in both Fahrenheit and Celsius. It has a detecting probe of thin brass metal that sticks out the bottom and it has an optional solid brass threaded cover piece that fits over to give it more protection. There is a thread at the top which looks like it is designed for a specific application. I would be happier if the temperature probe were longer to make it easier to reach my liquid, but I think I will be able to adapt my glue container so that it makes contact with the liquid that I am measuring. The whole device gives an impression of good engineering, nicely made with good quality materials throughout. It will last for a long working life and give good service. Any measuring instrument is just a random number generator unless you have confidence that it has been calibrated. This kit comes with a hand-written paper record that shows the actual reading at a range of temperatures. The reading was within a degree at each measuring point. So that is reassuring.Very nice thermometer!

This review evaluates the “2-1/2" Dial, 1/2†NPT, Stainless Steel 0-250F Hot Water Bimetal Thermometer Gauge†made by GOATACURA.The product was shipped very securely in a foam-fitted box. There is not much to this item out of the box: one (1) 2-1/2" Dial, 1/2†NPT, Stainless Steel 0-250F Hot Water Bimetal Thermometer Gauge, and a serialized matching quality control test certificate.First impressions: WOW. Great quality. What strikes you first is the quality of the 304 stainless steel case, it is very thick, heavy, and highly polished to a mirror shine. The gauge itself is of excellent quality and made of durable materials: a 304 stainless-steel casing, solid brass ½†NPT mount fitting, and a glass dial lens. The gauge face is 2.5†in size and its dual scale (F/C) temperature intervals are spread out to facilitate an accurate reading at a glance. The solid brass ½†NPT mount fitting has good-quality threads with no defects. Each gauge is uniquely serialized and comes with a matching serialized quality control test certificate that conforms to ANSI B40.1 (Grade B) accuracy standards. How does this gauge work? To determine that I placed the brass probe end into a pot of boiling water and it measured exactly 212F which is the boiling point of water. I also compared the gauge at room temperature with another digital thermometer and they both measured 22C.Cost-effectiveness and value: Overall I am very satisfied with the product. It is decently made from durable materials and extremely easy to read. At a current price of $19.99 (plus a $2 off coupon), I feel it is very competitively priced for the quality and functionality delivered. In summary: the “2-1/2" Dial, 1/2†NPT, Stainless Steel 0-250F Hot Water Bimetal Thermometer Gauge†made by GOATACURA is an industrial grade, durable gauge that is built to last. I would recommend this product without reservation.Pros ðŸ‘:✔ Well made from durable materials - industrial grade.✔ Thick, heavy corrosion-resistant 304 stainless-steel casing.✔ Glass dial lens.✔ 2.5†easy-to-read dual scale (PSI/KPA) dial.✔ Solid brass ½†NPT mount fitting with good quality threads.✔ 0-250F with a +/-2% accuracy – complies with ANSI B40.1 (Grade B) accuracy standards.✔ Smooth functioning – no leaks.✔ Uniquely serialized gauge – comes with matching quality control test certificate.✔ Low price – great value.Cons👎:✘ None!

I am not an expert in industrial control, but I had the opportunity to set up this instrument for heating tests in my building. It immediately jumps to the fact that this is a highly crafted instrument. Impeccable metal finishes and perfect measurements to integrate with standard joints, fast, clear and precise readings, the latter clearly compared to other instruments in the original installation. Its steel and bronze construction leaves no room for doubt as to its solidity and durability. The measurement range between -20 and 120 ºC is perfectly suitable for hot water circuits, to which is added the aforementioned precision. It is an instrument for professional, reliable and durable use.
