Well now, isn’t this fun? I’ve never seen anything like this before and just had to give it a try! I know hot dogs aren’t the healthiest of foods, but they are fun to eat. And this takes hot dog fun to the next level! And it’s so easy to use – stick in a hot dog or two and *blam* close the cover and make it a spiral hotdog! When cooked, the hot dogs puff up and separate a little showing the spiralized shape. They get longer and now fit better in those long buns and they have lots of spaces to hold sauces and toppings between each bite.So much fun to drizzle ketchup, mustard, and relish into the spirals. Or, you can take this up to a gourmet level and insert fun elements like strips of ham and cheese or slices of bacon or even long green onions in between the spirals and then cook it! Be creative! Slide the skewer through it and pull it apart a little then roast it over the grill! I guarantee, if you have kiddos around, you will be their hero!What surprised me the most about this hot dog spiralizer is the quality of it. This works great! The design is so easy to use. Just place hotdog in, press skewer through (for easy removal), and press down. We then place in the air fryer for a great crispy hotdog. Taste delicious. It is an easy size to store in a drawer and super easy to wash clean. I would recommend and purchase again.

I finally got a chance to use this, and it was fun. My family loves cut hot dogs, and I like they way they absorb more bbq sauce when I grill them. This cut down on my prep time immensely and made some fun cuts. My only complaint was that sometimes they stick inside the device, and then the hot dogs fall apart when you pry them out. I imagine a quick spray of oil would prevent this, but it wasn't too bad, and only one hot dog split apart for me. My husband said it was easy to wash too.

Do I need this? Absolutely not. Will I make sure I have room in a kitchen drawer for it so I can use it for the rest of my days? Absolutely. I ordered the Trustella Hot Dog Twister because I've been spiral slicing my glizzy's since I was a kid. The product arrived in a plain white box, suitable for gifting (Great for a White Elephant party). The product is made of heavy, durable plastic that will last for years with normal wear and tear. It worked as described in a fraction of the time and I don't ever have to worry about slicing my fingers while cutting the slices. I love that it comes with a skewer so I can keep the dog straight. 5 stars, a great value.

It's a good quality plastic tool with a single skewer to hold in place I guess. The instructions are a little vague but it isn't complicated. I think they should maybe take some better pictures.

For many years I have been slicing my hotdogs randomly, creating broiling crevices capable of capturing and holding my favorite additions including chili, cheddar cheese, sauerkraut and stone-ground Dijon mustard. (But not all at once.) While mostly successful and tasty, this method lacked visual appeal. Some of the cuts were deeper, resulting in a distorted form that made it look like the hot dog had been tortured. Voila! Along comes the Trustella Hotdog Twister! Perfectly spaced cuts making it look like the hotdog had been spiral-cut. I then skewer them with bamboo shish kebab sticks. I can expand the hotdog along the skewer, depending on the length of the bun. Cook quickly over a hot grill. Your guests will be impressed.

This spiral cutter is nothing short of ingenious. So simple to use, it really is delightful what the does to a dog. Not only does it allow me to cook expand the cooking surface of the wiener, but it also lengthens the meat. Additionally, this makes the dog look just so special that I get a great smile before putting on the mustard and closing the bun. This is made of heavy (thick) plastic. I have no concern that this will ever break. The ability to perfectly skewer the dog for roasting over an open fire is an additional treat. No one needs this, but you sure will want it. This is a lovely purchase at $17.

Hot dog spiral slicer does what it says that it will do. It is simple to use, my youngest enjoyed pushing it together and sliding the skewer in. I do wish it came with more than just one skewer so that you could do it for a whole family on the grill, we chose to keep them on the skewer to cook them in the pan so they would stay together because I wasn't sure how fragile they would be. We were able to cook them and slide them off easily. My family is simple and they only wanted ketchup or plain hotdogs so I don't really know how much novelty it added to the meal I think these might be cool on a stick for a campfire or a larger gathering. If you want something to make your food look a little bit fancier. I don't know if we would be using it again in the house. I can see how it might be useful to people who like to load their hotdogs up with a lot of toppings and sauces to be able to get everything to stay on the bun and get down in each bite, but it was fun for the time that we used it. It will probably get relegated to our pantry or in the camper and not used that often.
