The first opener was missing part of the battery connection so I exchanged it for a new one. The new one opened one bottle of wine and stopped working. It only goes in the ip position. I tried relieving batteries, forgetting bottles. Nothing works. It doesn't turn the corkscrew down for opening.

I love the design of this and it works great. Not very loud either. Does not show fingerprints either. Looks great on my counter.

I was given this as a gift from my son. I've had it for 3 years now and have only had to change the batteries once. (And I drink wine weekly) My daughter-in-law said she had gone through rechargeable wine openers and they both have broken twice. These were not Houdini brand openers. So I bought her this for her birthday. The top comes off and you can easily change the batteries. It's small enough to fit in any cupboard so it doesn't take up my space. I also bought a tote that caries two bottle of wine. I just put one bottle in and the other space holds the Houdini wine opener very well.

Quit working after only a few weeks. Tried to make a warranty claim, but the seller never responed.

I bought one of these about 6 or 7 years ago and it finally died on me. So, I figured I'd buy another one given how much use that other one actually got (easily over 3,000 bottles)When the new one arrived, I liked they kept the same stylish form, and even seemed more heavy-duty than the older one I had.The screw action is very powerful, fast, and it has a nice elegance that just looks great on my bar.I hope this one will last at least as long as the last one, and require similar battery changes (only once every couple years).

We have had this Houdini since January 23, and it broke and is no longer useable by March 15. Wouldn't buy this brand again; we had another Houdini which lasted a couple years, but it broke too.
