Vacuum caps have no reinforcement and are intended for vacuum and very little pressure. The HPS Reinforced Silicone Caps are manufactured just like our reinforced silicone radiator hoses. With 3 layers of polyester webbing for reinforcement, you can be sure that HPS Reinforced Silicone Caps will withstand the high temperatures and pressures of your cooling system for years to come. HPS Reinforced Silicone Caps are compatible for use with coolant, water, air, turbocharger bypass valve ports, vacuum ports, throttle body water ports, heater cores, and much more. Temperature Range: - 65 deg. F to + 350 deg. F (177 deg. C). Reinforced Layer: 3-ply Polyester. Inside Diameter: 1" (25mm). Color: Black. Wall Thickness: 4mm. Inside Length: 1-3/16". Overall Length: 1-5/8". UV and ozone resistant. Remark: HPS reinforced silicone caps are not compatible with fuel, oil, or any petroleum-based products.

Didn't know if it would but it has so far. I even went and drover her hard for awhile and no leaks yet. Fit the 1 inch pipe with a clamp to hold her down. Looks nice too. Does what I needed it to do.

works great, used on a cold air intake after hooking up a bov. they sent a plug that looked chessy, this looks way better

Used this to plug an outlet on a water pump for our race car. Not cheap, but seems high quality and so far, so good, after a few races with it. No leaks!
