For the price this bit will get the job done. It doesn't cut the cleanest so I question how sharp it is, but a little sanding has my parts up to scratch. If you want a clean finish straight off the machine you'll have to pay $15-50 more depending where you shop but for me this just hit that good enough line.

This bit worked very well for cutting fairly deep half lap joints. It’s arguably not the finest bit on the market but it’s 2†length overshadows any other disadvantages the bit may have.

This bit broke after approx. 2 minutes of light use on aluminum and snapped right in half.

My first attempt to use this bit failed miserably as the shaft simply broke. I was cutting soft pine, with only 1†of the cutting surface being used. The shaft sheared off at the router collar, about 1†from the end.I was able to continue to use the bit after inserting the remaining shaft into the collar, but obviously, it is no longer a long bit.Due to the way it broke, I have to believe it was a manufacturing defect, which is certainly surprising given the price of this bit.It’s a shame, the shorter bit cut very smoothly.I can’t return the bit, it didn’t break until I used it.
