I’m an experienced crocheter. Instructions were a little hard to follow. Needed a few adjustments for the coasters to lay flat. Completed the project in 5 days. Received some compliments. Plan to make more for gifts. Might make up nice for Christmas.This is not a beginner’s first project.

The videos are not for beginners. It took me weeks with the help of others to figured it out. I'm still struggling to make the basket.

Im a beginner to crocheting and thought this would be a fun project to start but no matter how many times I try, the instruction booklet isn't very helpful and even when I scan the QR code for beginners, I just see a playlist. Thought the qr code would direct me to a video showing you step by step on how to complete the coasters. Nope.Wish I returned this instead of keeping it. Waste of money.

Great, clear instructions, beautiful yarn, AMAZING project that is BEAUTIFUL. Exactly as advertised. Video is great, a little difficult to understand with language translation, but easy peasy. Highly recommend as a beginner's project, and I did it with my 9yo who had only learned how to chain and single crochet before doing this. WONDERFUL!

I love how this came out! It was a bit intimidating and frustrating at first as a complete beginner (especially starting with a magic ring), but I set it aside and learned stitches on some practice yarn. Then when I came back, I was much more successful and had a blast with my first "real" project. And it's too cute!! Took me around 15ish hours. Maybe longer if I count the first attempts that I had to frog. There's plenty of extra yarn as well 😊

Kit comes with all the materials needed to complete the project. I added my own red yarn for personal preference. The yarn provided is soft and well in excess but is quite loosely wound and unravels easily, so it gets caught in the 2.5mm hook where you don’t want it to. As for the instructions, I would say the pattern itself is doable for a complete beginner like me but it isn’t explained enough for a complete beginner. I had to get a lot of help from YouTube and google before succeeding. For example, there are differences in what counts as a stitch and where to slip stitch in single crochet vs double crochet and that was not explained so I had to figure out why my stitch numbers weren’t tallying. Some people say there is a mistake in Rnd 4 of the small coaster but after my googling, I believe it is NOT a mistake - the 5ch is correct: the first 3ch is as normal for double crochet, and the next 2ch functions as a 2ch for working Rnd5. So the last slip stitch of Rnd4 should be in the 3rd ch of the 5ch, leaving the remaining 2ch free. I’ve used this in my small coasters (pic attached) and it looks right to me.
