Wish I had read the reviews before I purchased this battery from this company. I installed the battery and it is worse than the one I took out. At least the one I had would charge even though it wouldn't last long. This new one only charges up to 55% and it stops charging. Run battery test says it isn't working and should be replaced. Have tried all the trouble shooting tips on internet search nothing works. Guess I will just have to put the old one back in and hope for the best. Very disappointed.UPDATE : After writing the review the seller contacted me and have sent a new battery to replace the defective one. I have received it and installed in laptop. So far it it working perfectly. At lest it is charging to 100% now and discharging like it should.

This battery is NOT an HP. Just wanted to be clear about that. It was put into my notebook yesterday, Feb. 5 and it works perfectly. The original battery, 5 years old, stopped holding a charge so I could only use the notebook plugged in. I called HP and got the battery number from them. I could have purchased the battery from them but it was 4 times more expensive that the one on Amazon.

After installing the battery, I charged it up to 100%. I use my laptop 80% of the time plugged in. A few days later I unplugged it and got a low battery warning. When I looked, it was at 14%. It has been on the charger both powered off and powered on, and it has not charged past 14%.

I have been using the battery for about a week now. It doesn't seem to get a full 100% charge. Not sure why. It has been through several cycles of charging. The best charge so far is 77%. I can get about 2-3 hours of stored power before charging up again which is about what I got from the original HP battery when it was new. Even though the old battery would show 100% charge, it only had enough power for 15 minutes. The small screw drivers and pry-pick that came with the new battery were convenient. A small word of advice - if the laptop has a DVD unit built into it, remove screw on bottom of laptop and pull the DVD unit out before trying to pull bottom cover of the laptop off as the DVD unit is physically plugged into the motherboard.

It's the correct 11.55V for my particular HP. It's got a little more capacity. It's 100% physically compatible. It comes with the correct tools to gain access.

It works I am using it now. They provide small screw drives to change the product out. It is a nice idea but the screws did not match the screw drivers the seller provided.Still this product has been useful and saved a larger repair bill or the cost of a new computer.I used twicers to set the screws in the holes as the screws are very small and hard to set in place with fingers. It helped set the screws up so I could screw them in.

The battery works, but the screwdrivers are no match, that added extra 2 -3 days to order another set. I'm hoping the battery will last as expected.

The battery fit perfectly.When powered it started charging right away.It has a 1 year warranty. The OEM one lasted 4 years. We will revisit if and when the battery expires.The price is very good.
