Somehow the plumbers broke the first one. Did work great. They installed a irrigation back flow system, installed this in green box rewiring/threading the Solenoid through a pipe to the surface that is too small to retract it the other way should it break. Meaning after they’re finished and it no longer worked I can’t just slip the old one out and slip new one in. Make sure they use a pipe so solonoid goes through easily so that you can change it out when it breaks. In the meantime, it is working, just fine living all inside the green box in the ground with the lid on, no exterior mount. I have to take that bracket down after I know a second summer it communicates (20 feet away from modem love WIFI) with my phone living fully inside the irrigation box. So good I bought a second one without fighting/begging the plumber’s about anything. The photo is the one that no longer works installed above ground. Hope this helps someone.

Bluetooth connection and programming from the cell phone app is a big improvement.

I have had this one week. Used it to replace a Hunter Node100. Installed two 9 volt batteries and replacing the old solenoid and controller in a valve well was an easy 2-minute task. When I started to iPhone App and selected the controller in the App, it update of unit's Bluetooth and then its Firmware, which took about 2 minutes. After that it allows you to rename the controller and take a picture of its area. I find that Bluetooth range is about 40-50 feet (line of sight). Only minor thing is the prinited instructions are not extensive. Some things -- like ranaming the controller -- were not intuitive to me. So next thing to monitor will be the battery life. When I find out more about that, I plan to update this review. But for now, this is a 5-star product.

I had to replace an older NODE that starting operating erratically. This bluetooth model is a great improvement. Replacement of the old unit was very straightforward. It’s easy to install, with just two wires to connect to the rain sensor. There are various video guides online if you need them. The instruction manual that comes in the box is clearly written, though simplistic. The new user interface available for cell phones is great! It is very much improved from the clunky step by step set up you had to go through with the older units. With the new cell phone app the set up of the watering times, days, intervals is far easier than it used to be. The only disappointment is that the bluetooth range is limited. I know that being down in a hole in the ground reduces the radio power, but it would nice in a future model to engineer a better antenna. I get about 20 feet of connectivity with it. It’s fine if I’m on the patio near the unit. I can connect to the NODE-BT inside near a window just above the unit, but not from anywhere else indoors.Overall, a great improvement. Bluetooth range is limited.

My pool filler is controlled by a irrigation valve. It loss contact with main controller so I was working it by hand then the solenoid stoped working. I wanted a valve with remote control and NO wires. Since this ia an unique installation I did a lot of research. This controller fit the bill. No wires , iPhone control, Easy to install, simple interface to program, worked on the first try!! Takes 2 9 volt batteries, supposed to be good for 6 months or more. I think it's great value, very happy with the device

I contacted seller whom responded quickly but then only offered help if I would purchase more things. I returned item and got the exact same item with the correct solenoid (for my brand valve elsewhere). Product works great only the seller is the problem.

This is the replacement for the first one that didn't work. This one does work but I have to agree with others that the Bluetooth is really horrible. I could be 4' from the controller and it say can't find controller. Sometimes I have to shutoff bluetooth on the phone and turn it back on and then it will find the controller

My husband bought 3 blueberry plants and then my OCD kicked in. I had a hard plumbed underground sprinkler zone for several fruit trees for almost 20yrs. I hated reaching in the dark, dank meter box for the shutoff. I went to YouTube for solutions. Low and behold...there was this highly rated, heavily reviewed bluetooth, battery operated way of avoiding the black widows etc that were ready freak me out. Bought a bigger box, dug out, laid gravel and replaced the run in the box complete with unions on both sides of set up. I was impressed by the YouTube pros way of doing it. I told my husband we were not getting any younger and this way would make any future repairs easier. I have only used this for not quite 2 months, but I wish it had been in our arsenal years ago. I will buy another controller for my raised garden beds next season. I have big plans for that...can you hear my OCD wheels grinding?
