Used to check and adjust airflow of HVAC vents in my home. At high speed fan whines, other than that, worked for me.

Works as needed. Just wish the the top swivel so that you don’t have to try and guess the right position to get accurate wind readings

I tested this anemometer for measuring indoor air speeds. It performed as anticipated, accurately measuring various flow velocities such as those from air ducts, ventilation or cooling fans, and blowers. However, as highlighted in the product description, the accuracy significantly decreases for wind speeds below 1m/s. Therefore, depending on the application, the desired accuracy may not be achieved. For outdoor measurements, there should be no issues.One feature I appreciate is that it has a cover for the fan, which reduces the risk of damaging the fan during transportation. However, I do have a concern regarding the thin and soft plastic sheet that covers the LCD display. It seems prone to scratches and potential damage.Please note that the product images, which show the LCD with all lights on, display units of wind volume such as CFM, but this product is only capable of measuring wind speed and does not include a built-in function to convert it to wind volume.Overall, this anemometer is conveniently portable and would recommend it, provided you are not measuring very slow velocities.

I got this for measuring the airflow from my ductwork when I suspected I had a low airflow issue. This wind meter did the trick! It helped me identify a couple vents that had disconnected inside the walls over the years by showing me just how much difference in airflow speed there was from a good working vent!This will also be a neat addition to my golf bag now that it's done it job with the vents!
