We've been using a multitude of different coals to use over the past 8 years, and these have been the best we've found for burn time and quality. We've been using these for the past 2 years.

I suggest to anyone using coals to use with their hookah session to invest in a coal burner if you do not already have an electric stove. I believe the burners are only $20 on here (Amazon). Anyway, these coals burn slow and takes a decent time to heat up. I suggest setting up your hookah while the coal is heating up by the time you are done the coal should only need an extra minute or so to enjoy. I am so use to the WHITE box of coconut coals but I tried these and they were good just not what I am use to.

The coals are hard to light and they do not stay lit! I threw the entire box in the trash! Waste of money.

The charcoal is good! But it did not come in the box as pictured! Three stars for lack of credibility and packaging
