I've bought air pumps before that were supposed to be quiet. Only to discover you'd have to be deaf to be ok with the noise. This air pump is running 2 filters on high no problems. All I hear is a low humming. I'm getting a new Betta. I wanted to have increased filtration but at slower speed. I'm completly happy with purchase.

Best I've found. Great for larger fish such as plecos. Provides good air, so fish don't have to swim to surface to grab a bubble (unless they want to!). Low noise, good power, durable.

This item definitely rattles and shakes - high frequency vibration? I created a Styrofoam lined box (with some ventilation) to endeavor to reduce the rattle.... it seems to be helping, somewhat. The rattle/noise is driving my partner a little bananas – but hopefully he will get used to it over. I wish the manufacturer offered some sort of foam containment system that would not have negative consequences and, at the same time, reduce the rattle....

The 6w comes with a wattage adjuster, 2 air ports, 2 air stones, 1 single, and 2 dual air connectors.The Hygger 6w just does its job without making noise, moving around and it stays cool to the touch. My turtle loves playing with the bubbles. :)

I know all diaphragm pumps produce noise, it's an inescapable fact of the fishkeeping life. That being said, I've been pretty happy with a number of Hygger products and figured it was worth giving them the benefit of the doubt here. I appear to have made an incorrect decision. The pump puts out a great amount of air, I love that it is adjustable. It does it's job well, it's just anything but "Silent" as the listing claims. It's probably one of the louder pumps I've used and seems to be far louder for the output of air compared to the tetra whisper series. I will be able to find a use for this product, but it will not be in my office any longer. I am going insane from the buzz.

I made a YouTube video reviewing this product because it was so noisy and terrible, and before, I’d heard only praise about how good hygger were, but this is not good at all. You can see exactly how noisy it is from the video.

I bought this after reading the reviews about how quiet it was, and to be fair, it actually was. It’s not quiet anymore. The gentle hum lasted about 2.5 months but now I’m looking for something better.

The item said it was adjustable. When it arrived it was not, not all the pumps are adjustable.Second the plug was a US plug and 110 volts.I could not use it so cannot comment on its performance. I have other Hygger pumps which are very good. This one i cannot comment on apart from what i said above.
