It's very bright and easy to solder into place. However, I would recommend adding an extra heat sink to the back, as it does generate quite a bit of heat.

I used these to provide light for a Raspberry Pi camera. I powered them off of the 3.5v rail. They are very bright and the nice thing is that they keep very cool and don't melt my 3D printed holder.

Not much to it, but was surprised at how many one could get for the price. Obviously you need a basic understanding of electricity and/or electronics to use these in any devices or in electronics projects, but they are better than I expected. They get slightly warm, but I also expected this from an LED this bright.

These are compact and very bright. Fairly easy to solder wires to. The problem is, if you connect 5v to a single led, it will get extremely hot which is what I intended to do. For a single led you need to dial back the voltage to about 3v. Still very bright at 3v and the plate stays cool.

Great repair parts at a affordable price that made fixing a light fixture for a cube fish tank a no Brainner. Soldered up very easily to the wiring, have over a hundred hours of run time with no problems. I will try using on other projects in the future.

So I will start off by saying these little lights are SUPER bright. That’s a positive, BUT…… depending on your application, they get EXTREMELY HOT. They advertise these for use in miniatures but I don’t see how that can safely be achieved. These are a huge fire hazard. I wired them to a 5v usb power supply, then measured the temperature of the aluminum backplate with a professional thermometer and it would fluctuate around 200 degrees Fahrenheit. You can’t even touch them. Excellent brightness, totally not safe and limited to applications.
