I really wanted to like this instrument. I like the appearance, the fit and finish is good, the electronics are adequate and the price is right for a beginner/knock around instrument. It is even made out of pretty good tone woods and has a decent sound for a cheap instrument. However, for some reason I could not get the intonation to come into alignment. This happens sometimes with mass produced instruments. A dozen of them off the assembly line will be fine and one will simply be a lemon. I fiddled with this thing for over a week and never could get it anywhere close to proper intonation. I finally gave up and sent it back. Purchased a slightly more expensive mandolin from a local store where I could actually play the instrument and check things like intonation before buying it. You may have better luck with this little guy. I just got tired of fooling with it.
