This was given as a gift. Receiver loved it and didn’t put it down for the error the celebration.It is beautiful, quality built and sound. The first on received was returned due to lack of quality material.

This is an amazing Mandolin for the price. It is a wonderful instrument to learn on. I play guitar and always wanted to learn Mandolin. This was an exceptional purchase and I would recommend to any novice. Spend a little extra and get a great insturment! Looks beautiful. Plays great "out of the box". Very little set up required. Buy yourself some extra strings. Factory strings are fine but Dean Markley strings sound great!. Hope this helps!

The machine heads are average, and fret edges need polished, so craftmanship is average, that's why the price is average.

Very good tone. Well made. Need to setup bridge (sanding base to fit) and tailpiece cover (mine made contact with the strings and caused a buzz). Nothing you can't find out how to do on youtube.

Had to change the strings because I am a beginner. Keeps in tune, no matter the weather. Great sound, easy to play. Makes learning fun.
