In case anyone is wondering, yes, you can use this a a filter for making fish tank water. I have had no issues with them in a saltwater tank. They do enough of a good job cleaning the tap water. You do not need to pay for an expensive filter setup for that purpose. You are just flushing money down the drain if you pay more (pun intended). Buy these. Problem solved.

I connected this filter for my hose outside for watering my flowers and to fill up my kids little pool. We have a lot of iron in our water and the outside water hook up doesn’t go through our water softener. It seemed to do the trick. It filtered the water pretty well, much more clear than without it. Very easy to hook up to.

Got these to fill spa tub. I like that these have multi layers of filtration. Previous ones I got from spa store were just carbon filled that ruptured and blew carbon particles into spa (twice) that I had to vacuum out. I like the extra hose this comes with as well. The hose extension makes for easy hook up to water hose. Water was crystal clear and I didn’t have to balance much after chemical test. We live on well water so extra filtration is necessary. Big bonus, I got two pack for what I paid for one at the spa store.

I bought these for our camper , we live in rural Nebraska and camp at many sites that pump water directly from the aquafer , having this filter has prevented sand from entering the fresh water tank . as described , they last about one camping season before needing replacement .

Flex hose is very very substandard. Hard to believe that this is considered an Amazon suggested item.Leaky, thin fake brass flex hose attachment.I bypassed it. Water quality improved but not by much.
