I have a lot of old IDE drives 2.5 and 3.5. Some work while others not so much. I've been in IT for over 30+ years so having a tool such as this is awesome for copying data from old drives.Reads Sata drives as well.Not really a fan of those cables that have connections built into them. So far its read every IDE or Sata drive I've connected to it.

Itรขโฌโขs pretty good ,feels cheap but operates the way it itรขโฌโขs advertised just canรขโฌโขt move the bay while hardrive spinning cause files wonรขโฌโขt go through, best feature I think this has that a lot of hd bay donรขโฌโขt have a ide a slot but this one does and it can move the molex port left to right only had it for a week

This docking station sold by fhong is also sold by Cinolink and Tccmebius. But Tccmebius tells you more about it. For instance, an extremely important detail is not mentioned on fhong's page but is on Tccmebius. There is a tiny button on the bottom of this docking station that allows you to move the IDE power plug farther away from the IDE plug. This allows you to insert a WD IDE HDD into the slot firmly and fully. fhong tells you that it will not work with WD IDE HDDs but obviously did not look at the device very well. It does work with WD IDE HDDs. The problem is that the power plug snaps back to its original, innermost position when you pull the drive out. You just have to keep resetting the position to whatever fits your IDE HDD when you re-insert the drive. Works very well. Don't know how long it will last. Many of these cheaper stations do not last long.

When it does work, it's great, but sometimes it doesen't see the drive in it. Then I use my other device.

Bout this thing for my mini pc plex server, it has lasted about a year but just up and died suddenly. The device was no moved for anything other than cleaning and had plenty of airflow so not sure what went wrong.

The product is simply in design.. Instructions could...no should be a LOT betterwritten in English. Its first job was to clone a drive... Well is bricked both drives. Not a satisfied customer
