Ideal’s SK357 push paddle for storm doors can be used with push-button, pull, and lever style exterior handles. The SK357 can replace various styles of inside handles – including handles that turn (rotate) – provided that they have the same hole pattern and use the correct spindle size.
The required hole spacing for screw installation is the standard 1-3/4”. The SK357 can accommodate various spindle styles: flat steel, round steel, flat zinc and rectangular steel, but note that the maximum spindle size is 3/16” (.186”).
What’s a “spindle”? The spindle is the piece of metal that goes through the door and connects the outside handle to the inside handle. This inside latch is used in the following Ideal handle sets: SKGLW series, SK1215 series, HK357DB05 series and HK01-I series. It is also compatible with the LSDXCR2267 series. It is original equipment quality. Ideal Security has been supplying door manufacturers with quality products since 1956.

I needed to replace both screen door latches because the latch parts were plastic and got worn away so that the doors wouldn't latch. We had to always lock them because my dogs could just push the doors open...pain in the neck for us humans, especially the kids. These are nice, with metal parts. I also like the solid spindle better than the flat type. BUT... I had to put in a wood spacer and adjust the latch plate on the doorjamb. My doors are maybe 30-35 years old, and nothing out there fit exactly, not even the crappy plastic ones. I bought and returned several until I found these. Just be prepared to do a little work, depending on your door.

Quality is decent and works as it should. I needed to replace an older broken latch and this fit the bill well.

I have a warranty on door so I ordered it,but waited for repair man to see what feldco supplied and BAM!! IT WAS THE EXACT SAME THING!!! ALOT CHEAPER TOO!!

Latch worked absolutely perfect on a Larson storm door. Use the same screws even though the new latch was countersunk old screws worked perfect. Would recommend this product to anyone. Actually looks like the quality is better than the original.

I was unable to find a latch that would accept the spindle that was used when the door was installed. This latch was perfect and installed easily in five minutes. Just know that the package contains the latch and strike only. No screws or spindle.

Heavy duty but it did not fit my door handle the hole for metal slide pc wasn't wide enough. Also My fault, its does not lock

Ideal Latch was intended to replace Wright Latch which was broken. After I opened package I noticed the Ideal square bar and opening were different and wouldn't work. As I had opened the package, I couldn't return it. I bought a complete Wright Door Assembly locally to replace mine and found the Latch was the same as the original. So now I am out the cost of the Ideal Security Latch and the entire Wright assembly to replace the incorrect Ideal latch. The Wright Assembly had a Lifetime Warrenty but I couldn't locate the Wright Company because it had been sold. At least my door works now at considerable expense which is more than the Ideal Latch did.

The spring on the original latch corroded and broke so instead of having to replace the whole latch assembly I was able to purchase only what was needed. The only adjustment I had to make was to cut off part of the screw as the original design of the latch was slightly changed with a countersunk screw hole. Very pleased with this purchase. Works perfectly.

Was glad to see this on Amazon. We only needed the inside latch replaced and in store they only sold the full set and was very expensive. Ordered this as it was the same style we had and it fits and works perfectly.
