IDL Packaging offers 1/2-inch x 9000 feet Polypropylene (PP) Strapping Roll of 8 x 8 inches core size with 300 lbs break strength. The main advantages of poly strapping are affordability, durability, and a variety of applications. Poly strapping is the most economical strapping material available (compared to steel or cord strapping).
Black poly strapping has an embossed surface that increases joint efficiency when seals for poly banding are used to seal two ends of the strapping.
Polypropylene strapping is lightweight and can be used for a variety of bundling applications. Poly strapping can be heat-sealed with a joint efficiency of 70 to 80%. By nature, polypropylene strapping is very flexible and has the ability to mold to odd-shaped or irregularly-shaped packages.
Poly (PP) strapping is available in a wide variety of sizes and gauges and offers the greatest elongation of all strapping, as well as good initial recovery characteristics. Use strapping and tools to secure valuable products.

We found out after getting a package with a packing strap, that our cat will no longer play with anything but packing straps…. So if you’re using it as a cat toy, 10/10.

Delivered on time in good condition. Looks like a sturdy strap. Will write a follow-up review if this strapping falls below expectations (after I use it) considering the advertised product specs. Else, consider the product good.

Bused this to strap several stacks of steal beams that were over 1k lbs per stack. I fully expected some of the straps to fail but they held up 100%. Quite impressive.

Much stronger than the pallet strap that comes with the pallet strapping kit. I need the stronger strap so it didn't break during packing

The size is off to a true 1/2. I have purchased this type of strap before from Uline and their product are most accurate or close to a millimeter difference. Any open seal will have a tendency to curve to the left and leave rough edges outside when crimping. A closed seal formed a ribbon type shape when crimping is done. I gave it 3 stars due to these results which were done numerous times. I'm not an expert or claim to be, but I have been banding boxes sending overseas by containers. These cargo ships travel to rough seas.
