Bought it for my girlfriend, had to figure out how to open it to put the gift inside, then reset it. It was a blast to figure out. The symbols and arrows around the box give just enough direction to help you make connections without giving anything away. Took me a few hours over a few days to get open, took my girlfriend about 40 mins lolOne or two pieces you really have to wiggle around to move, but considering the thing is only about 5 inches wide, it's incredibly intricately constructed. Very impressive looking with all the details and embellishments.The gift compartment is absolutely tiny, perfect for a ring or small necklace but not much else.

I got these for my nephews for Christmas. They're getting money, but what's the fun if they don't have to work for it a bit? I used the instructions to take them apart to put money inside, and the Captain Nemo box I had to deconstruct about 5 times just to reset it correctly. The attention to detail in these is insane! They not just fun to work on, but they are incredibly aesthetically pleasing to look at. Just to make it harder, I cut off the QR codes at the bottom that you can look at for hints, and I'm planning to gift them to my sister for Christmas as "leverage against the boys". Two gifts, three recipients! I get the distinction of being the cool aunt, and the added joy of giving them a hard time!

My 40 year old nephew loved this and started working on solving it as soon as he got it.Beautiful as well as puzzling.

This is my third one of this brand. My daughter and I trade puzzles and we both love these. They all took me about 4 sittings to finish each one. The starting point is obvious and once you finish the first task it steers you to the next.I always leave a handwritten note inside for the next person to find.They are a bit pricey but I know there is a lot involved in creating something like this.I haven't had any quality issues yet, even though they are made of thin wood.

This is the second box we have done. They are super fun! But this box was missing the ending paper to let us know we solved it all. This meant that we spent hours and hours trying to figure it out, thinking we hadn't solved it yet. That was frustrating for sure.

I loved watching my husband's brain tick while trying to solve this puzzle. He could not put it down till he finished it. He had so much fun and this was a great birthday gift. I'm thinking about getting him a different puzzle box every year for his birthday gift now. Overall great quality and sturdy. None of the pieces felt too dainty or fragile.

I bought 3 different versions for each one of my teenagers. I put a special note inside “gift money†for Xmas. They needed to take it apart and put it back together to get their payout. Worked like a charm! My sons both loved it bc they are engineering majors and my daughter hated it! She made her brothers help her which is a win-win. Learn to use your resources. It was a great idea and there are so many puzzles. Remember, I hate to fill them with the “gift†so I had to learn how to do all 3! It was very challenging but very funny to see the confusion on their faces.

My first puzzle box. What a great idea. I love the genre. There are mysterious symbols and secret codes that seem like they must mean something but it takes a while of exploring the box before their meaning slowly emerges. Each puzzle was completely unique and when you finally solve each one it's so satisfying. It's hard enough that it takes some serious mental effort but not so hard as to be frustrating. I worked on it in spells over a few days before I got the whole thing solved. I used it to hide birthday money in the central capsule. Only fits 2 or three American bills, so you have to get large enough denominations. Online instructions for reassembling it were good. Two puzzles require that you apply more force than you think you should so it's a delicate operation to know whats enough force without breaking it. Some of the negative reviews were invalid. One person said one of the three number dials was broken, but that cut out is how it's supposed to be. One person said there were no instructions, but the insert says where to get online for hints. One person said they solved it in 5 minutes. A person would have to have a crazy amount of experience with these exact types of puzzles to be able to do it that fast. Most reviewers, myself included, took hours. I'm so glad I discovered the puzzle boxes are a thing.

Fue un regalo para un niño de 12 años y le encantó. Muy recomendable para gente que le gusten los retos. Llegó perfectamente sin daño alguno y todo funcionaba correctamente. Si te atascas con alguno de los acertijos, hay un QR que te permite acceder a las pistas para poder resolverlo. Una vez resuelto, se puede volver a rearmar y la puedes utilizar como caja secreta o se la puedes dejar a otra persona para que la resuelva. Además la caja es preciosa y muy bien terminada.
