I'm a computer tech and bought these to use to cut thin copper wire such as ethernet cable, door control wiring, etc. I've had them since last summer and they have been fantastic!! We've had a couple of big projects since I got these cutters and they have made many hundreds of cuts. I've seen some reviews that state they don't work on hardened wire. I can't speak to that as I only use them on copper. The cutting surface is still sharp and perfect. For my use, I only want cutters with coil springs or hidden springs to open the jaws. Those little metal leaf springs that most cheaper (and some not so cheap) cutters have are not good for me because they get caught on the edge of my pocket. When I'm working on a project, I usually keep my cutters hanging on the edge of my pocket with one arm in and one out. These don't get caught at all. So bottom line, for small gauge copper these are fantastic and are very reasonably priced.

These 4-inch flush cutters work well and are great quality for the price. I only use them for copper wire and zip ties. They are not for steel wire.

It was used to cut the metal that sticks out after you use the grid punch tool, on the drop ceiling aluminum system. It worked fine and I was able to 'seperate' the 2 feet aluminum grid.
