Fantastic tool, does the job very easy, where the usual suction cup with ring to pull always is a struggle. Just apply this tool, going easy (just a 1/4 turn no more) and it will lift the screen enough to insert a plastic triangle to cut the adhesive around the screen, for removal of the screen. Must not get in a hurry though, or end up breaking the glass screen!

Worked really well removing display panel on Surface Book 1. Excellent suction, very strong adjustable and constant separation tension. Good resistance to high heat.

I bought this to help change out the ear piece on my IPhone12. The instructions are good and it works but you must hold the tightener as it lifts to keep it from slipping to the release side. Heat and a razor help to remove the screen. It did work and was cheap. I do not regret the purchase. Hope it was a one time necessity.

Used this to help replace the battery in my iPhone 15 pro max. Very nice to have something constantly pulling on the front and back glass while you're heat gunning the phone.I will say that if you're back or front glass is broken, it will make it harder for the suction cups to stay attached. ifixit does provide assorted stickers to help with that but sometimes they just dont have enough coverage.Overall, very good product and would buy again if i needed to.

While replacing the battery on my iPhone, I first tried to separate the display using a standard suction cup tool. It just didn’t have enough grip to separate the adhesive. I got this tool and was able to separate the glass easily. You do have to get the two suction cups aligned exactly for it to have the best grip and leverage.

I purchased this to help remove a samsung tablet screen from its aluminum chassis. The tablet had minor liquid damage and the screen was showing lines and was completely unusable.The device has a very strong suction capability and was able to actually flex the screen to pull it away from the tablet chassis. When I released the tension on the device the screen went back into its normal shape and had resolved the screen problem. Have to see if it will reoccur.The important point is that this device provided the necessary force to a delicate tablet screen to allow it to be manipulated easily. You can not do this effectively with just a single manual suction device that usually comes with screen replacement kits.
