It was delivered in two days. I have not used it yet but l have played around with it. It looks like a good measuring tool. It's smooth operating and easy to read.

As others have commented, this dial caliper works well and is as accurate as I can test, but the slide mechanism is not as smooth as other slide rules I own. It's not bad, just rough enough to notice.

Very nice and great quality. The inner decimal gauge is a little small to read but the outer fractional gauge is great. Well worth the purchase for my guitar shop.

If you only measure in fractions, then this is absolutely accurate enough. Avoid if you speak in thousandths (only measures to the hundredth, but that's in the product details).Fraction read out is clear and easy to see, as it's on the outer ring of the dial. Decimals are a little harder to read being on the inside ring of the dial. Overall quality is good for the price.My only complaint is that the case is REALLY BAD. The other reviews are 100% true... it's tricky to open. But there IS a trick: pinch the bottom right and top left lids of the case and it opens like a charm. The "button" in the middle of the case does nothing but frustrate you.

Just now received it, and could not wait to tell everybody how fantastic this caliper is, especially for the money! Kicking myself for not finding one like this 10 or 20 years ago. As a very DIY man, have been enduring the years with a cheap plastic one, because I never thought I could afford a real one.

It's good enough for woodworking but probably not suited for machine shop type metal work or any high precision work.
