These are very cool. My favorite thing about them is that they are lightweight and can be placed on top of fragile food items without the risk of crushing. We use them to place on top of our cheeseboards during delivery. They also last a long time.

So far so good. The only issue is that it gets pretty stiff as it freezes so it doesn’t work as well as an ice blanket as I was hoping for.

I picked up several of these at Target in the aisle with the coolers with the intent of putting it under my husband's 3.5-year-old laptop, which could probably use replacing but he's been resisting it. The laptop is a 17" beast that overheats anytime he tries to do anything more strenuous than check Facebook. We popped it in the freezer and pulled it out a couple of hours later, wrapped it in a towel, and set his computer on it. The computer stayed cool enough to function without burning his legs through a solid 4-hour Age of Empires gaming session. When the ice melts we put that one in the freezer and get a new one.We also discovered some other great uses: alternate ice option for in the cooler (takes up less space than traditional re-freezable ice blocks), cooling blanket for the dogs in hot weather, and excellent ice wrap for a nasty ankle injury.I did just have one of the little squares pop on me in the cooler, but I went on the Igloo official website to check and these aren't filled with gel--they're pure water on the inside. Amazon should update that on the listing. So, I'll just figure out which square popped, cut the plastic off, and continue using it. I am really happy that these are only filled with water and not some super-toxic gel like many other reusable ice products. I'm not too heartbroken about the popped section, either. These things only cost two and a half bucks at your local big-box store, so it's not like I'm out the incredibly high price that Amazon is charging.Bottom line, know what the product is (a flexible sheet of ice to be used in place of other block- or gel-type reusable cooler ice) and use it for that purpose, and it's an awesome product. It's definitely not for cutting up and putting in your drinks. That would just be silly. You can, however, cut it up (cutting around the little pouches of water) to make a SMALLER sheet of ice. Just don't expect to get individual cubes from this. For that, buy the cute little plastic ones that come in fun shapes.

I misinterpreted this product, probably did not read the description closely; I wanted a solid frozen block and not water in separated compartments. The little cubelets type would be ideal for cold compress and not for a cooler to chill food or beverage.

I use this mainly to keep my waters cold while I’m golfing and shake cold while inside the gym. These work great for 2-4 hours inside small cooler.
