I make milk kefir and water kefir at home. Kefir can react with metal so it’s best to use a nylon strainer, such as this one. This is perfectly sized to strain out the kefir grains, I’m happy.I contemplated rating this a four star because it feels like it may not hold up, but I’ve been using it for several months now and it has held up, so I will give it 5 stars!

It’s great for straining my homemade vinegar. It cleans easily by hand washing. There’s a hole in the end of the handle for hanging to dry or store.

Part of the nylon section was torn away from rim. Great size but poorly made.

The plastic strainer part seems to be strong and attached to the frame well. I'm using it to strain out 3 cups of milk from kefir grains in one pour; this size is great for this. I am very happy with this product.

I’ve been successfully making milk kefir for the past month. I had most of what is necessary to make milk kefir except for the non-metal strainer. I had been using a stainless steel strainer without any problems, but I decided to buy a IMUSA 6-inch plastic strainer. Given the incredibly low price (less than $2.00), the cost wasn’t a concern. If it turns out to be a piece of junk, I won't have any regrets because of the low price.I’ve only used the IMUSA 6-inch plastic strainer for a couple of weeks; and I’ve been pleasantly surprised. It quickly strains the kefir grains without clogging the nylon mesh.I use the IMUSA 6-inch plastic strainer exclusively for my daily milk kefir which allows me to use my stainless steel strainer for other purposes. I probably didn’t really need it, but at less than $2.00, it was worth it.

Does what it is intended to do but the build quality seems cheap. If it was anything more than a backup strainer, I feel like it would give out pretty quickly. I wouldn't be surprised if I found this same strainer at the dollar store.

Plastic mesh molded as one piece. Wont peal apart. Using to strain kefir but also sifted flour with it so far more useful than i expected. Light weight, easy to clean.

I love it, its a good quality strainer that does what is intended. Its sturdy under the weight of boiled rice, no sagging handle . Very pleased.Having read the various comments in review, I can only wonder why some folks didn't like theirs.
