Writing this mostly to counter the negative reviews which almost scared me off buying it. It was very nicely packed and worked quickly with linux (I used the raspberry pi software examples, even though I was using a normal linux desktop). It would have been nice if they had a linux GPS example (they have c# windows ones I could copy from). They have plenty of software examples full of source code, though you have to go to their website or github to get them.Could definitely be more accurate. If I was to do this again, I may instead have seperately bought an inclinometer, magnetometer and GPS module, but given the price and ease to get basic results I can't complain.

From looking at the pictures I thought it would come with software. Nope, comes with zero instructions and zero software. This is now a paper weight, what a waste of money. Also, everything on their website is in Chinese. I can't imagine selling something like this without giving some sort of direction. Amazon should not let companies like this sell on here. I'll be contacting Amazon and having a discussion with them on how to remove these kind of products.

I made a config error (my fault) causing the unit to be offline. (Selecting "GPS Original" as data Content output causes the unit to be offline. That's a regular design/setting of the GPS IMU, because it's required to collect the data and GPS positioning.) Kyle at Witmotion assisted me and quickly resolved my problem. Witmotion has a wonderful lineup of products, (I have many of them), and the post-purchase support is awesome. Thank you Kyle/Witmotion.

This is not what what was advertised. No software, to get that you need to tell them your phone number. Terms and conditions are in Chinese. I ordered the JY-GPSIMU but it does not have GPS in it. Confusing advertising and misleading details.

Accuracy is impressive. Easy to install with its TTL serial output. I use it in my car with a Chinese head unit. It took some experimentation to find the best way to calibrate.

Not happy with it at all. The SDK is confusing other than the windows app. The accuracy is poor.

This has honestly been an impressive unit! I was really surprised by how quickly I was able to wrap my head around using a unit with this much integrated functionality! - Definitely make sure to start by using their (and GitHub’s) online resources and tutorials - I would say give some dedication to getting going to get your drivers and the right software, and for me, it helped to have an idea of what the project application will be, then it becomes much easier to understand what capabilities you’re wanting to utilize- So many sensors and features that we immediately changed from using it in our RC hovercraft project to it now being at the center of an underwater ROV build that is on the board!! - Hands down happy to have this one!

This unit does come with instructions, you just have to read whats in the box. They have repositories on github which includes demo softwares and sample codes for arduinos, raspberry pi's, C and more. The kalman filter is definitely implemented properly, not sure which type it is tho. This was used in a Graduate level research for tracking a UAV, overal I'm very happy with it.
