This unit works well for high-temperature work such as metal melting operations and the like. I use it for validating the operating temperature of my electric smelting furnace and the temps of the molten metals.When I was looking for a device to use for metal melting, this is one of the few that I found that could operate at the temperatures that I needed for a reasonable price.
