I'm using this on a pump intake line for a pond pump. There may be leaves and such that get in, but this should keep the things big enough out of the pump to avoid damage. The 1 inch pipe threads can allow me to pull it and clean it once in awhile. The large size gives it more area than a screen inside a hose, so it won't fill with crud as quickly. Whether used for water or paint guns (keeping out dried chunks of paint or such) a screen will save you from problems.

These replacement parts are a fraction of the price of the OEM ones, but work just as well. The material seems to be sturdy and the stainless holds up well. I will continue to use this brand of replacement parts when my next tear-down takes place. Highly recommended, especially for Amazon's low listed selling price.

I didn't photograph the large filters but they're good quality.The plastic around the screens are a little rough, not great finish but it will filter the paint fine.I have no problem with non OEM parts, these work just as well in my opinion.I recommend them.
