Worked really well on a 2x4. I purchased the shorter bit and as expected it is not as flexible. The longer the bit the more curve you can give it. Note that you may need a separate tool to guide the bit for longer lengths. For mine, I found I was able to give it enough of a bend to drill straight. I also had no issues pulling the bit back. The drill bit does have a hole to tie something to it and pull it back with the bit. Overall happy with it and quite aggressive making the hole.

I used this to drill a trench under my sidewalk to run electric wire. Certainly not the manufacturer's intended use, but the product performed admirably nonetheless and helped me run the wire.

Durability/Quality- the thing broke during first use. Appears as if the tip was not actually welded to the shaft! Worthless!!Seller did promptly provide full refund.

I bought this drill bit, for the Ring Plug-in Mount, to use on the Ring Floodlight Camera. This way, we wouldn’t have to do any hard wiring, and we could place the camera in the center of the front of the garage, and not have to use as the side lamp. My husband said after drilling the hole, he just attached the electrical line, to the drill bit, and easily pulled it through the thick wall. People have already borrowed it, in order to do the same thing to their garage.😊

I got this to add a few outlets without cutting open the walls. The shaft is actually pretty sturdy and firm. Im not sure you will get a lot of bending out of it. I was drilling from a closet into a room wall so i didn't have to flex it at all. I wish they had longer ones, but they would probably require a lot more material to withstand the torque.

Ran wire for ceiling fan, worked as advertised, drilled through floor joists with ease, was glad did not have to open up ceiling, was able to attach wire to drill bit to fish back to source. Also used to drill through basement ceiling at bottom plate of kitchen wall to install receptacle, did not have to open up wall!

One day delivery as advertised. I purchased this tool for one specific project and it did its job. I may consider other similar projects although I am uncertain about this tool's life span. Tool seemed strong enough, is a little inflexible but my drilling was straight access so little bending was needed. Decent cutting auger blade.Entire tool has an "enamel like" black coating. This easily and quickly stripped off the the auger due to cutting friction. Also on the drill chuck end which made shaft diameter slightly smaller. Not sure of the purpose of the coating other than aesthetic. I'd leave it off and show the tool as the bare steel it is.Did the job for me and my project.

Dulled after going through about 4 studs, got it to go through two more after an attempt at sharpening, but from sharpening it was clear the metal is too soft, the file “bit” very hard. Will be returning, save yourself the trouble and spend a bit more on a Milwaukee bit.
