I teach beginning Orchestra at a small private school, and this is the easiest violin tape I’ve ever used! It peels off easily, and it’s easy to apply to the fingerboard.

As a violin teacher, I have used these regularly! I love them and I love how they’re exact measurement.

9.5/10 I love the product. It works well. The tapes are silver like the picture which looks gorgeous. I would give it a full 5 stars but I was reading through other reviews and I saw mentions of the tapes being IMPOSSIBLE to get off, which is true. Because when I was trying to get the tapes off of the paper they came on they kept ripping the paper off with them so I had to bend the paper at the end corner and the get the tapes off. But out of all of this, it's a 9.5/10 product. Also worth the price!

I'm an experienced player and got these to help teach a friend who wants to learn to play the violin. I remember the tape I used back in the day, and these are of a very nice quality. Make sure you watch the video on how to install the tape. You need to start below the fingerboard so you can hold on to both ends of the tape. I like that the tape is thin and smooth so you can't really feel it. It serves more as a visual cue rather than a tactile one. That way the player will learn the proper fingering and not rely on feeling for the tape. The tape easy to remove so you can reposition or remove them once they are no longer needed and not leave residue on the fingerboard. There are so many in a package, more than one student can use. It's really something that a violin teacher would purchase. Given the price point it's quite economical, I can see this being used for young students in a school as there would be plenty to go around.

Practically impossible to get the tapes off the backing. I tried five to get one free and intact. Not worth the time it takes to get one free of the backer and also then I’ve ruined several and I’m not getting full use of my purchase. I would return them but it’s too much trouble. They’re heading for the trash

These are simple fingerboard tapes, nothing special but nice to have.Since my violin is in storage while the house is being renovated, I can't place them, but I am looking forward to using them.I am not sure about the silver color and how that is going to look on the violin. I think I would have preferred white or off white or something closer to the fingerboard color. However, since these are only for me to use while I am getting comfortable with finger placement, the color should not be a problem. It might have been nice to have some with the notes labeled but that might be asking too much.Playing violin is something that I always wanted to do but learning the correct finger placement when frets are not marked has been challenging. All other string instruments I have played have frets. Without frets, I always feel that my finger placement is just not quite right, so these should help boost my confidence. They can be removed once I have built up my confidence on finger placement.

I used it for my violin. For functionality, it is a bit overpriced.
