The picture in this Amazon listing is a bit misleading as this compact/short case design has no room for 2.5" drives (NVMe only.) The height of the NUC13ANKi5 is ~1.5".I loaded this NUC up with a 1TB NVMe drive and two sticks of 16GB DDR4 modules (32GB total.) A VESA mount is included in the box so you can securely attach it to the back of a monitor. Installing the RAM/NVMe takes about five minutes, and I installed Windows 11 Pro as the OS. I found that the NUC's WiFi drivers are not part of the initial Windows installation, so either connect with Ethernet or manually install the WiFi drivers (available on Intel's Arc page for this unit.) Windows Update took care of almost all device drivers, including a BIOS update. Still, I added a slightly newer ME driver on the Intel page manually. The total cost of this setup was under $650 (USD, tax included.)I've built out about a dozen NUCs over the years, and the 3-year warranty service quickly addressed the few (2?) hardware failures I've experienced. I recommend testing RAM modules with something like Memtest86+ before calling it "finished." While a PC like the NUC won't be the best choice for 3D gamers, it provides a solid computing experience for the majority of use cases.

It's a powerful little machine that also happens to be very energy efficient - the power draw at idle is below 5 watts, not as low as my M1 mac mini but close, and really good for a PC.Even if you don't need a tiny form factor that this provides (which is probably why a lot of people buy something like this in the first place), it's impossible to find a 13th gen laptop at this price point that offers 1) upgradable dual ram slots, 2) an upgradable PCIe 4.0 M.2 slot & a sata slot, and 3) dual thunderbolt 4 ports. Which makes this also a good value, especially since ram and SSD are so cheap nowadays.Cons: It is always a little warm to the touch, and I can definitely hear the fan under load. I also wish it supported DDR5 and an additional PCIe 4.0 M.2 slot for future proofing.

Excellent product! I installed 32GB DDR4 memory and 2TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD, and it is fast! Low noise level, great quality, quick installation, and overall great value for money.
