The EK4336S wall mount electronic photocontrol by Intermatic has been designed, tested and warrantied for long life. It has improved on/off switching with high quality relays and employs electronic components exclusively selected to meet extended life targets. Products are tested to full on/off lifecycles under tungsten, magnetic and electronic ballast/left driver loads. Testing is done per NEMA 410 to ensure compatibility with today's array of electronic ballasts and LED drivers. The Intermatic brand assures you of peace of mind and trouble-free implementation. It has enhanced surge protection with 255J and 510J move components. It meets or exceeds ANSI C136.10/C136.24 and UL/CSA requirements. Wall plate is included. 105-305 VAC, 1000W tungsten, 1800 VA magnetic ballast, 6 AMP electronic ballast, 1.5 fc turn on level, off/on ratio 1.5:1, fail mode: on, 6 inch wire length.

Can't speak to longevity of item but it arrived well packaged, was exactly as described and very easy to install.Appears to have some great additional features to keep out moisture and was attractive enough not to have to repaint it when old one was removed.A win/win.

Mounted it on a north facing wall as recommended. The sensor turns lights on and off precisely at dusk and dawn. Other nearby lights do not interfere with it. It is truly a connect and forget it sensor.

Comparing this to the builder grade photocell, it’s clear this is much higher quality. The gasket is not some flimsy foam, but it’s a rubber/silicone gasket that is very nice. The plate is very nice too, and the eye itself is really high quality. The builder grade one died after two years. I’m hoping the higher quality build of this one lasts much longer. Installation was a breeze and it functions perfectly.

Higher grade components and construction than less expensive units sold in the big box stores. Intermatic provides complete environmental and performance specifications. Must be wired as indicated on the diagram, verify line and load wires. Various shields provided to deal with local artificial light sources which may affect nighttime performance.

Took me a while to figure out that I couldnt use a normal photosensor for my LED lights with a dimmer switch, but this one works GREAT! I have it wired inline before 2 switches in my set up and one of those is a led dimmer switch. The whole system works as intended.

Much better quality than similar photo cells sold in home improvement stores. Hopefully will last a lot longer in AZ heat.

Works great for my application. I replaced a manually switched outdoor light with this. Instructions were clear and installation flawless.
