I install several of these boxes a year. Unless you need remote or programmable capabilities this one works great.

I bought this control system to replace my old, rusted out control system, which I use to control my pool filter pump, vacuum pump, salt chlorinator and pool lights. The new system was form, fit and functionally 100% the same as my old system. (I did have to reuse the timer for the vacuum pump since this unit only came with one timer, as advertised.)The only issue was that when I received the new system, the filter pump timer was loose and rattling around in the enclosure. I assumed it came that way intentionally, but now I don't think that was the case. When I installed the system and mounted the pool timer, the timer would not stay in place. Upon closer inspection, I could see that the bracket that holds the timer in place was significantly bent out. I assume this is why the timer was rattling around in the enclosure when I received it.I bent the bracket back so that it would hold the timer properly, fired it up and everything worked perfectly, or so I thought. Two days later I noticed that the pump was running at 8:00 PM when it should have been off.Turns out the yellow dial on the same timer that was loose in the enclosure when I received it was significantly bent such that the adjustable "OFF" switch was not making contact with the rocker switch that turns the pump on/off.Rather than try to bend the yellow dial back on the new timer, I chose to re-use the old timer. There is no evidence that the bracket was damaged during shipping. It seems like the bent bracket and loose timer would have been caught by even minimal quality control.

Unit had slight damage from being dropped on its base, but otherwise it was great specially at the warehouse price.

Overall this is a decent item- with one glaring defect!! The door latch on the side of the box hooks to a cutout on the door. This opening in the side of the door allows wind driven rain in to the guts, and for the third time, in spite of a stainless replacement catch which did not completely close the opening, the inside bottom of the box rotted out. With all the wiring cut to size the only option that is economically feasible is replacing with the same panel. A few dollars more and a solid door side and better latch would easily solve the issue.

Solid production that was a somewhat exact replacement for my original. Includes timer and all enough slots of pool pump light and heater. Shipping was $ but it’s heavy! Thanks

Only four stars because of one packing issue. The timer was packed loose inside the new load center. The install was easy and uneventful. I had a problem the next day with the trippers not reaching the switch arm to turn pool pump on and off. After some research online I found that timer problems are usually due to worn trippers on the dial, but these were brand new. I took a closer look and discovered that the dial was bent down on one side from being loose in the box and not clipped into its compartment during shipment. You cannot remove the dial from the connected gear underneath because they are pressed together. You can remove them both and gently bend it back to parallel with the gear. This worked and the timer is now working fine after the dial and gear were reinstalled. If not for the bent timer I would have rated them at five.
