ION-BOND ARMOR is a highly-reactive polysiloxane sealer capable of extreme penetration rates in concrete and other porous masonry. The formula attaches itself to the substrate by electrochemical means and reacts to form a “minimally” vapor permeable elastomeric membrane below the surface. Ion-Bond Armor will virtually eliminate moisture vapor transmission in existing or new concrete.

  • Indoor Poured Concrete: 200-225 sq. ft./per gal.
  • Outdoor Poured Concrete: 175-200 sq. ft./per gal.
  • Concrete Blocks: 125-150 sq. ft./per gal.
  • Cinder Blocks: 75-125 sq. ft./per gal.
  • Finish: No change
  • Drying: 1-4 hours.
  • Paintable: Yes
  • Breathable: Yes

ION-BOND ARMOR - Subsurface Elastomeric Concrete Sealer

Without Equal in the Marketplace! Ion-Bond Armor Industrial-Grade Concrete Sealer penetrates the deepest and waterproofs the tightest compared to other silane and siloxane sealers in its class. Ion-Bond Armor is the only sealer that will reliably work against negative side water pressure in basements.

**Due to 45-days shelf-life, this product is not returnable.

  • Epoxy Coatings – Improves the bond and durability of epoxy coatings and paints against moisture and efflorescence.
  • Cinder Blocks – Waterproofing overly porous below-grade concrete blocks, cinder blocks, sandstone foundation walls.
  • Wood Flooring – Protects flooring by blocking water vapor transmission for slab-on-grade construction.
  • Hard Troweled Concrete - Ion-Bond's nano-molecules are so small that they can seal most power-troweled surfaces or dense structural concrete without the need for acid etching or grinding the surface.
  • Contaminated Soils – Reduces vapor intrusion from contaminated soils (landfills, brownfields, hydrocarbon spills, insecticides).

We built a new house with a basement and wanted to include carpeting below ground level, but water is always an issue. We used a combination of RadonSeal on the walls and Ion-Bond on the floors. After over a year there are no leaks and the basement is very dry and I couldn't be happier especially since the basement was a real stressor in our construction plans.Even just a few days after application it was obvious that this stuff was working great. Any water sprayed on the surface immediately beaded up and did not penetrate into the concrete. We did a lot of testing to see if there were leaks after the first application and did find a few which we sealed up and reapplied a second coat of the RadonSeal (to be clear the leaks were caused by gaps in the grout, not the RadonSeal). With the problem solved everything was tight and so far after a year totally water proof. This material seems a little on the expensive side, but it is really effective. I have tried a few other methods and I don't think you are likely to find a better product on the market for basement sealing.

They are serious when they say do not leave standing pools. It will dry solid and never come off without abrasives. I read this in the instructions and promptly wiped up the puddles in depressions, but they don't tell you that they mean everywhere. The surface needs to be dry, dry, dry!! They even should say that you need to mop up the excess with water multiple times. The instructions indicated the concrete would continue to absorb, so I wasn't to concerned. I mopped only once thinking it was sufficent and it still left smears of the sealer everywhere in the pattern of my mopping even where there were no "depressions" or puddles. I am not happy about it, I was warned, but not clearly instructed to REMOVE the excess on the whole floor, not just depressions or puddles. It appears to have worked to prevent water ingress. I will run new radon tests when I complete the crack sealing using their CrackWeldPro package bought here as well.

Top Notch / Simple application - 2 part Foundation Sealant. I sprayed 2 coats of Radon Seal ( concrete sealant ) prior to 2 coats of Ion Bond Armor with 24 hour cure time allowance in between coats. Absolutely impervious sealed foundation as a result ( prior to seal moisture migration , mold and dank basement odors were common ) and a very happy client.

Be cognizant of the short shelf life of 45 days after order. You should have the surfaces prepared and the weather scoped before ordering. If your problem is wet basement walls, you will need at least 4 or 5 days of dry weather. Unfortunately, after my wall prep, we had an unusually long stretch of wet weather. I had to start over with cleaning again. As I write this, I am over the 45-day shelf life limit. I don’t know whether this will work now or not. I will update with results.

This sealer wasn’t as good as I expected. I would go be it a C! I haven’t done a radon test yet.

Did the job as describe however the solution that comes with it go mix isn't quite enough for entire use doesn't tell you the exact name of product so that you may by a replacement to finish the use of entire product or inquire to buy again. This product has a time sensitive expiration date that's tideouse from how long it can sit before use unopened & after opening which is a very short time span ; that needs to be in description when buying for indecisive customers or person that's busy in which may not use product right say according to product specifications .

Purchased the product to seal a basement floor before putting in a Dricore floor system. Floor had old paint on it. Called a rep to-get more information. He told me that it would not chemically seal. I wasted a lot of money. The add said it would work with latex.

I did all the walls and floors in my basement with the Radon-Seal Plus and then bought one bucket of this to use on top of the sealer in the room I really wanted to make sure would be sealed and dry. It worked very well and I would recommend this product and the company who spent a lot of time talking to me on the phone and who has a very good web site with lots of information on how to use the product.I would write more but I just typed a large review of Radon Seal Plus. Go read that review since it really overlaps with what I would type here.
