Looks pretty generic. No brand on tap, not like picture.I'm thinking the back label is correct, made in China. It was cheap, no biggy. Would be nice if it holds up like my other USA made Hanson taps.

After you use several taps and dies, you want the good ones to do the job right and stay around for a while.This is a sharp quality tap which does what it is supposed to do.

Counterfeit? The labelling on the packaging says "Made in the USA" on the front and "Made in China" on the back. Beware, the product is not what is show in the photo and that actual tap has no origin on it. I think this is a fake product.

Nice tap, used for a plastic filter housing to create thread for a pressure gauge. Gets really hot, even with the use of oil and backing out often. Only used lightly for my application.

The picture is not what you get. The picture shows a shank that is smaller that the outside thread diameter. A tap like that can pass all the way through a hole.But what you really get is a shank that is much bigger in diameter that the threads. So this tap will stop going into the hole when the shoulder of the shank hits the surface of the material you're tapping.Meaning that only the first few threads at the top of the hole will be cut all the way. Threads lower in the hole won't be fully cut. Beware.
