Tripod ring fits the Tamron 100-400 beautifully, very solid feel. As an unexpected bonus, the arm that mounts to the tripod turned out to be an excellent size and shape to help when using the lens handheld!

When bought the Tamron 100-400mm lens, it was a substitute for the expensive and overrated Nikon lens (80-400mm). I have always done that, like my 15-30mm Tamron Wide Angle Lens, that adds a lot of value for the build & Image quality and wide angle range it provides. However, never imagined that Tamron may have to taste their own pill, that they have been meting out to Nikon & Cannon for long when it comes cheaper lens options. After buying the 100-400mm Tamron lens, realized that the lens does not come with a lens collar, that is so much essential for a telephoto lens like this one. Then realized that Tamron is selling the tripod collar as a stand alone item and it is costing close to $200. That's when iShoot tripod collar made sense as it was costing 1/3 of Tamron. I was sceptical about the quality and fit & finish - however, all concerns disappeared when I received the item and it a superb piece of accessory for the Tamron lens - I have no hesitation in recommending this to friends, just to teach a lesson to Tamron for being so greedy on this essential accessory, which should have been part of the lens itself.

iShoot has a budget friendly price tag and a thoughtful arca plate design that is appealing to buyers like me. You can mount the plate on top of a tripod quick release plate, which excels the original Tamron tripod collar (A035TM) design. The body is made with aluminum metal and looks premium.RISKS: However, it has a faulty lock design that may scratch your lens. The inside edges on both ends are actually sharper than they look, and can easily scratch your lens body (e.g. when you install, or turn the lens body). I scratched my brand new Tamron 50-400mm lens heavily without noticing the sharp edges. Upon inspection, due to iShoot's defective lock design, it does not lock and tighten well (I may have received a defective item) because the circular dead bolt cannot lock into the rectangular plate. Thus, the mount ring is loosened. The sharp inner edges scratched my lens body during the installation, and when you try to tighten or turn the mount ring.HOW TO MITIGATE: If you want to use this mount ring, you may want to ensure the lock can be perfectly closed and fit (i.e. no gap), and check if the inside edges are smooth first (e.g. sand if needed), before you install it. If the mount ring is loosened, do NOT turn the ring or lens body since the inside edges can be scratchy. I now request a return. I also found another reviewer who warn about the scratch risk.

Great fit for the Tamron 100-400, and a lot less money than the OEM version. Not as sleek as the Tamron version, but holds the lens just fine. Well built. Great value for them money.

I don't know if there's a difference between the A035TM (which I needed) and the A035 (which this is a knockoff of), and I have thoughts and a note regardless.I bought this for the new Tamron 50-400mm for Sony as the A035TM was sold out everywhere and I was in a pinch. It does fit, but even on its tightest setting the lens still spins around in the collar. If it's mounted on a tripod, be aware that your camera may end up at an angle if knocked. If you're carrying it and hand-holding as you shoot, you'll be better off popping the collar off as the movement gets super annoying. Also—and this is noteworthy no matter what you are putting it on—the dial that adjusts tightness is EXTREMELY loose so it WILL just loosen up again. The lock to keep it closed seems sturdy enough though.

This tripod mount has the Arca/Swiss base, so it's very sturdy. It's also very easy to put on and take off the lens, even when the lens is mounted to the body. It's light, much less expensive than the Sony version, and has a lot of advantages. The ONLY thing to remember is this mount WILL NOT fit tightly on the 50-400. Unlike the Sony version, it will ONLY work on the 100-400. The company is about to release one specifically FOR the 50-400 that WILL work and be appropriately tight on the 50-400.

This is an excellent product and equal to the higher-priced models that sell for $150 and more! Well built and fits the lens perfectly.

S'adapte parfaitement à mon 100-400mm de Tamron.Lorsque la bague est sur trépied, on peut dé-serrer la vis pour mettre le boitier en paysage ou en portrait en tournant l'objectif sans problème.Je recommande.

Ricevuto e fatto reso immediato senza neanche provare a montarlo. L'assemblaggio è approssimativo e righerebbe sicuramente l'obbiettivo (come lamentano molte recensioni). Mi sono rassegnato a pagare l'esorbitante balzello per l'anello originale.
