This thing is useless on any wood harder than white pine. It will not split oak, and since that's about the only tree that grows around me, I have no need for this.

Good product that works as advertised, but you will want a large, heavy duty drill.

This did not work on the wood I tried it on. It got stick in the wood and twisted the drill, hurting my wrist. Tried it on different pieces with the same result.

This product doesn't work ! A small drill doesn't have enough power, and a large enough drill to split wood will spin the log into your leg, or spin the drill injuring your arm. Unfortunately I did both before giving up. Also tried a impact driver.... It was also a fail!

The adapter twisted and broke off of a small log. Maybe 3" diameter. The bit itself seems to be fine. Just would try and find something stronger for the adapter.

You definitely need a high torque drill to use on dense wood. Bit must be used on an angle or it will go deep into the wood and it will be difficult to remove. After a couple of attempts it was easy to use.

This should not be used with a hand drill. The first time using it failed to split and twisted my wrist. Luckily, I let go of the drill. It would require securing the log down and using a drill press. Might as well use an axe. Safer

I tried it on some maple that I had cut up. I found it wouldn't work on any pieces that were more than 2"-3" thick. I found it wouldn't split the edges of larger logs into kindling as they showed. If you plan to use this, have a very good grip on the driving tool as when it bites in your wrists will be need to strong when it twists after being caught in the wood.

All my power tools don't have the power to sink it into the wood I'm burning, so guess I'll have to buy a much larger power tool as well...or find a better way..

Hasn't split a log I've tried it on. It does drill into the log, so I'll give it that. Not great for splitting a log, however.
