Smaller than expected, but worked well for clearing several inches of packed snow and ice off the driveway.Small rust spots appeared after only one use. Easy to clean off, but preventative cleaning is the way to go.

This thing is awesome! The quality is great! It has all kinds of cool gadgets. I love that it has a sturdy carrying case too. Great addition to my emergency go bag!

This is probably the most complete e-tool out there for the money. I bought the 35-inch version. But it there are a few things that will make this non-ideal for military use:1. It's heavy, but that also means this is sturdy. This is not just hollow aluminum like the typical military issue e-tool. This feels solid and because of that, it is heavier than the GI e-tool.2. Since it has loose parts, it will clang around in the carrier. When it is first delivered, each parts are wrapped in bubble wrap, but once that's gone, the parts will bounce around in the carrier. I wish the carrier had stitched compartments to keep the extension bars separate from each other and the shovel itself.3. The whistle/magnesium rod combo will thread inside one of the extension bars which keeps it in place, however, it is too long that the whistle sticks out when stored in the carrier bag. There are three extension bars (including the handle); it would have been better if the whistle and the magnesium rod was separate so that the whistle, magnesium rod, and knife can be kept in each extension bars (which is the case in the 31 inch version).4. The ice pick is a loose part that does not fit into the shovel when being used. All other parts are stored neatly within the shovel when fully assembled, but the ice pick is the odd-man out. If it was designed small enough to be threaded and stored in one of the extension bar, or if the carrier bag had a compartment, that would be better.Anyways, for these reasons, I have decided to return the 35-inch version and get the 31-inch version instead. It is still a great shovel for camping, but the ice pick and the 4 additional inch in the handle was not worth it, IMHO.

I recently bought this folding shovel for my Calandiva gardening, and it's been a fantastic tool. Its compact size makes it easy to store and carry, while its sturdy construction and sharp blade effortlessly handle soil work. The comfortable grip and versatile design, including a serrated edge and pickaxe feature, have made my gardening tasks a breeze. If you're a Calandiva gardener, I highly recommend this folding shovel for an enhanced gardening experience.

I got the biggest version but it still wasn't as big as I thought it would be, that's on me tho. I suggest buy two so it's a decent size

I have very mixed feelings about this product/shovel. First, for emergency purposes and/or bug out bags, this shovel would be alright. For a shovel, the head of the shovel is flat and very small. It will take a lot of shoveling to dig even the smallest whole. The cutting blade and the saw on the shovel are not sharp at all. The only sawing or chopping you will do is on very small items/branches. Branches that you will be able to break with your hands. Trust me, if you need a lot of equipment to go camping/or bugging out, you will still need an axe and a saw to go with this shovel. The good news is that this Emergency Tool/Shovel, is exactly what it declares - For Emergencies. Also, for tall people, you will have to buy an extension which they do have for $10.00. The extension is only for the 31 inch shovel. It is compact, fairly lightweight and has a good bag with molle straps to attach to a backpack. You won't want to put it on a belt. As far as the other tools that come built in with this shovel head, fire starter, whistle, etc. - just think of this as an emergency folding shovel. If you think of it that way, you will be alright with it. I did try using it today when I got the shovel, and as stated above, it will take a lot of strokes and shoveling to dig even the smallest hole. I'm keeping it for the trunk of my car just in case I ever get stuck in mud or a snow storm. I will also have it available in case I ever need to bug out. My suggestion, just buy a lightweight folding saw, lightweight military style compact shovel and a lightweight axe. You get what you pay for.

I love the length of this shovel, it gives me better leverage, not only when I'm shoveling but also when I'm using the pick axe to dig or to pry rocks or roots out of my way. The length also great for when using the shovel head as an axe, also can get great force cutting wood. The shovel edges sharpened easily and I got mine razor sharp. The saw on the shovel works great also. The shovel head and pick axe can be used in different positions and locked in place with a alloy steel lock. It comes with one handle and three extention bars also included is two hexagonal wrenches, one bottle opener, nail extractor, emergency whistle-flint/magnesium fire starter combo, a small hunting knife with fish scaler on it, that all fits into the inside of the extention bars. An ice axe comes with the shovel too and everything can be stored in the pouch that comes with the shovel. You can hook the pouch to your belt or backpack with the two snap close straps that's on the back of the pouch. The pouch is held closed by velcro and a clip close adjustable strap.

La verdad no sabÃa que esperar por el precio, pero la realidad es que es una pala pequeña de emergencia y se siente muy bien, es plagable y trae un estuchito, incluso cuenta con brujula.

I bought this to take with me on rides to do trail maintenance for mountain biking. I live on the Sunshine Coast where we get a lot of rain in the winter and the trails are in dense forest. The shovel cut through the dirt and roots surprisingly well delivered above and beyond what I was expecting. It fits in my backpack/hydration pack easily with lots of room for other tools and gloves. The hoe/pick feature works great for breaking the ground for easy digging and the shovel head cut through small roots incredibly well. One of my reasons for picking this one was the handle length, it is longer than most but still is not a shovel I would want to be doing a lot of digging with at my age.
