Best money I've ever spent on this little tool. It's one of those things you don't know you need until you have one. Plumbed the entire house I'm building for myself out of 3/4 PEX using this tool to cut everything.Sometimes the cuts weren't straight but if you're not holding this tool straight when you cut it, it onto be straight. Easy to shave off and get it good.Easy to use, lightweight but not flimsy.

I bought a similar tool by that famous brand name, and it was completely useless. Then I found this alternative for 1/3 of the price, and it’s really great. It’s sharp, and makes clean cuts. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is that I wish it had some sort of fixture thing that would guarantee an exact 90 degree cut. You have to hold the PEX pipe really straight when you make the cut, and the blade kind of wants to move the pipe slightly as it cuts. That said, I’ve made dozens of cuts with this, and none of my pipe connections have leaked yet. Great tool for the money. I wish it was US made, as I prefer patronizing US companies

I did a bunch of modifications to my travel trailer so needed to cut quite a few pieces of PEX pipe. Got these cutters and it make the work simple. Good clean square cuts.

I bought this pair to replace the exact same one in the kit that I bought a couple of years ago. One of the guys doing some work in my garage grabbed them to cut a piece of trim for vinyl siding and ruined them. They are not made for siding, but he got his job done, and left me with a tool that will no longer work for PEX. I had only ever used mine for PEX and it has worked perfectly for two years, on hundreds of cuts, so when the guy damaged the cutting edge, I had to get another one exactly the same brand and size. Love these, they work perfectly for PEX. Just don't use them for cutting trim for vinyl siding.

Like the title says. I originally got this for cutting 1/4" tubing for a reverse osmosis system, but happened to try it on schedule 40 PVC 1/2" irrigation pipe and it worked very well. I'm sure that if I keep using it for that, it will either dull the blade, break the pivot, or cut my finger off, but if you're foolish enough to try it, it will work. I promise not to sue if I cut my finger off or do any other damage using this tool in a manner not recommended by the seller. Next time I need to cut schedule 40 PVC, I'll get the proper tool for the job (currently using pipe cutters and hacksaws, but that's way too much work).
