I used this on a bathroom plumbing project and it worked great. Clean cuts, nice locking mechanism to stay closed so you don't go all French Revolution on your fingers.

Gets the job done. Very minimal play between blade and pivot. 1" PEX cuts are mostly straight and clean. Very very few skewed cuts.

I use a lot of cutters and these seem to be on a better quality cutter

Pricing -I definitely wouldn't say this is worth anywhere near $40. It's lightweight, cheap & alternatives can be found for as little as $8. 2/5Packaging -Comes in standard plastic packaging 4/5Design -It's unfortunate I had to get this after trying to use normal pipe cutters only to find out that normal pipe cutters cause the PEX to condense upon itself which narrows the opening & leads to the sharkbite fittings not being able to fit. The pro pex cutter features a steel frame with rubber grip handles. The Sharkbite logo is etched into the blade (which appears to be swappable.) There is also a switch for locking the tool in place for storage. It cuts through pex like butter. The cut is clean with no abrasive marks which is much better than the normal pipe cutters. I was able to fix the messed up pipe & install Sharkbite fittings without issue. 5/5Overall it gets the job done, but the price should reflect what it's worth. It cuts great & is a solid tool although it seems like you're paying for the name.3.5 out of 5 stars

Bought this to cut 1" PEX B pipe when I replaced my whole house filter and water softener. The blade is sharp and replacements are available but I didn't need one. I needed to use two hands to cut 1" PEX B but you can probably one hand it for 1/2" or 3/4".

Great addition for freeze drying, I use them for cutting up hard candies

It's a little pricey but does make it easier to get a square cut due to the jaw holding the pipe being almost twice as wide as any of the other cheap ones I have, the blade comes off and can be replaced or even sharpened, the shape of the blade also makes cutting easier lessening squash before cut.

Disadvantage that you don't find replacement blades on Amazon or the shark bite webpage. Need to buy a new one if the blades getting dull !?? Is there any place where you can order them ??

Hi am not sure if this is common or if I've been unlucky by the pipe cutters broke while using them. The lock function had gone stiff within a week or two and then they fully broke today. They are good cutters while working, am wondering do you guys provide a warranty period?
