Im going to be on the phone with Jacobs. This chuck is a piece of crap. Another once great company sold out to the chinese.First, it was shipped in a very flimsly broken box inside of a bubble wrap envelope with another item I bought. So it could be banged around real good in shipping. The chuck key doesnt fit at all. I did it in one hole and then could not get it out.The chuck has damage on it as well. Nicks, and grooves and bad finishing. The edges are clearly not chamered properly and has a sharp unfinished edges. Its also been soaked in chinese cosmoline and needs to be cleaned out of the chuck. The action of the chuck is sticky and not smooth at all.I guess I need to find a company that makes better chucks in the USA because I wasted 100 bucks on this useless paper weight.

The chuck itself is very high quality but it was supposed to come with a key, and it didn't. So it's use until I buy a chuck key.

This replacement chuck for my 1970's Rockwell drillpress certainly looks to be heavy-duty---much stouter than original. However, I thought I was purchasing American made product but the words "made in China" were printed on box.

Should have known, buying a made in China Jacob's chuck. Total runout on my spindle was 0.002", total runout on the chuck was, at best, 0.009". Absolutely useless.
