Unfortunately my squish nosed pugs struggled a bit with this piece but it did it's job.. slow feed, stayed in place, and easy to clean. My only issue was that the ridges were a touch too high for pugs and posed too much of a challenge for them and *really* slowed down their feeding. Otherwise, great product!

UPDATE:My original rating was 3 stars because my pup used it as a chew toy when she was done. Since then I made sure the bowl was a little damp when I suctioned it on and that works better. She does get it to suction slide around but it hasn’t come out. I think she learned that it isn’t a chew toy. I now keep an eye on it and take it out when she is done so she can just lick the bowl. It definitely slows her down which I appreciate and I feel like she is a little less crazed when she is done. (Still hunting for food but not as crazy). I decided I do like it better than the built in ones because it’s much easier to clean. Mine is much smaller than the bowl (even tho it’s a large one.) and that works fine.Original review:My American bully typically eats in about 30 seconds this gadget extended that to three minutes. It did slow her down, but then she eventually moved the entire piece out of the bowl and took it into her bed as a Chew toyFor context, this was suctioned into a large yeti bowl. It was on tight because I wanted to center it and I couldn’t. So I left it thinking it would be tight enough. I guess not. I’ll probably continue to use it until I can find something better, but we need to monitor carefully and remove it from her before she tears it to shreds..

We bought the larger one and it didn’t work as well for the size/type of bowl we use it in. This one works pretty well, but I wish the suction was stronger. Nearly every meal, our beagle is able to lift it up just enough for it to pivot and be off-center. Then, it doesn’t slow him down as much, kibble gets stuck underneath it and we have to wipe down the bowl before placing it back down again. But… our goal was to get something to slow him down just enough so he wouldn’t inhale his food and start aspirating/throwing it back up, just to taste it a second time. It’s managed to do that, so I’d say a win is a win.

This little slow feeder insert works great. My little Chihuahua is a little hog. He scarfs his food down in 2 seconds flat the turns to the other dogs and tries to steal theirs. I needed to slow him down and found this Jaoul Slow Feeder Insert for Small Breed dogs. It's Cuttable silicone with Octopus Suction Cups and suctions into the bowl so it doesn't come out easy. It's sturdy but soft enough and definitely does what it supposed to do. My little guy now takes the same time to eat as the other two

I have a chihuahua and it fits in her small bowl just fine. The taller grooves in the middle slow her down but her little muzzle fits in the shorter grooves on the sides. It does the job though! I can't fault the product for the size of my dog and her muzzle. The material is good, it's your classic silicone and it's a good quality.

My dog was gulping his food so fast, he threw it up constantly. This has stopped him and now he needs to work for his dinner. Suction cups are strong and stick to his bowl. I highly recommend this for fast eaters.

This worked great the first time i used it but then my 8-week old puppy saw me remove it for cleaning and it was game over; puppy pulled until it lifted up and the kibbles were easier to eat. If your puppy isn't troublesome I could see this working well.

This is a game changer. I got the large and it fit perfectly as for how much raw it will hold. It holds 1lb of Raw and it slowed her down to 10 - 15 minutes to eat instead of the 2 mind and 31 seconds ot originally took her. I would recommend these to anyone that needs one And it's easy to clean
