About this item

  • The new 2019 model featuring removable arms for compact storage
  • Saves space as it is smaller than a piece of paper when folded
  • Can be put on by one hand in seconds
  • Transfers weight evenly to both shoulders and stomach, removes strain from neck
  • Very comfortable when sitting or standing, does not slip away

The new Jazzlab SAXHOLDER-PRO presents a superb alternative to traditional saxophone neck straps and builds on the huge success of the original SAXHOLDER model. The patented three-point support system eliminates all stress from your neck and transfers the weight of the instrument across the shoulders and to the stomach. This makes the instrument feel lighter and allows you to play for longer periods of time without worry of neck strain or back ache. To use, simply swing both the shoulder handles up until they click into place, pull out the telescopic slide and rotate the abdominal rest and you are ready to attach your instrument. The holder provides great comfort for the player when in a seated or standing playing position and does not slip like regular straps can be prone to doing. It is made from a mix of both aluminium to keep it light, Kevlar for extreme durability and neatly folds away to be placed within the bell of the Sax for easy storage. Supplied with extra string in case of damage and with a pull tie cloth bag for safe storage, SAXHOLDER-PRO has the additional advantage that the arms are removable to make the product even more compact than the original SAXHOLDER-PRO is great for all sizes of saxophone from soprano to baritone, as well as bass clarinet and bassoon. It is suitable for adults and for children from 12 years and has been designed to look great on male and female performers. Jon our resident sax player says: We have had review after review stating that the 'Saxholder' is a revolutionary way to hold a Sax. I must say that I have only ever used the traditional sling, and whilst there are some wonderful slings and straps now available, the 'Saxholder' is something completely different I agree, it does look a bit odd, but it really does make the instrument almost weightless. Best of all you can use it with the Baritone, Tenor, Alto and Soprano saxophones. It is also great for the Bass Clarinet and the Bassoon, all heavy instruments. I can see why it is so popular

This thing is a big helper for me. Now I can practice not 20 minutes, but whole hour with no tension in my neck and backbone. Practicing with my tenor sax became so comfortable now. First time, I have not bended it correctly and when moving during the playing, it was trying to slip from shoulders. Now I have fount the correct curve for the shoulder supports and it become much more stable and comfortable. If you have a problems with your backbone or neck, give it a try.

I bought this for my son when I got him his first sax after he outgrew the rental. This holder was recommended by professional musician friends. My son took it out of the package, adjusted it, strapped on the sax, and was stoked from the first moment he used it. Way, way, WAY better than a neck strap. No strain and works like a charm.

My old neck is not in great shape. As a sax novice (tenor, bari, and sometimes alto) I've struggled with straps, harnesses and stands. I was curious about the Hookit but that seemed too costly so I tried this Jazzlab strap. First time I put it on it was an instant hit! Not only is it more comfortable than all the other things I've tried, it's quick & easy to put on / take off. Two thumbs up.Update: Another big plus is the way the horn is suspended further forward from your body. I went back to my old simple strap and in a few minutes my left thumb was tired from the added pressure of keeping the tenor in the right position. Back to the Jazzlab and it's naturally in a much better position.

It 's very well constructed, and fits well. Have only used it twice and I'm not sure I'm going to like it. It definitely relieves the strain on the neck, but just has an awkward feel about it. May take some getting use to. That's all on me not the strap support. I will give it some time for sure.Update: After several practice sessions I've decided I really like this Sax Holder. At one point yesterday I realized I didn't even know I had it on and my right thumb was not supporting the sax at all. I definitely jumped the gun on my original review. No neck pain either. I only play with the sax straight up and down in front of me. Standing or sitting, so can't speak to how it does when sitting with sax at an angle. Guess I can never where a dress while playing. Lol

I bought the normal SaxHolder Pro and had to return it was too small. I'm 6'4" and 330Lbs. So I decided to get the XL model. Although I returned this product I still give it 5 stars because it is a great product. I just bought the wrong size for my body shape. If you're under 260Lbs this should fit you fine. I highly recommend this product!

I use it with my tenor sax and it's almost weightless compared to a neckstrap and so much easier on the wrists, the shoulders can feel a little heavy sometimes but just adjusting the position usually does it for me, definitely recommend, I convinced two of my friends to get one as well and they love it too.

I love it so much! At first I wasn't too sure how it would look, or if it even lived up to the hype, and it absolutely does! The very first time I put it on, I could barely tell I was holding a saxophone, it makes it so effortless. Just in the 2 weeks of having it my practice session have doubled. My neck doesnt hurt after playing, and it's so easy to put on and take off. I play alto in a college big band and it works with my tenor as well. I recomend this to all pros and college students.Update:Almost 2 years later and I started having shoulder pains because of the harness... It might be because I switched to tenor. I was originally using it on alto and never had a problem, but the tenor was quite a bit heavier and made it so the left side would dig in harder.I think these are still great for alto and soprano players, but for tenor players I'd suggest getting a regular "neck" strap.

I used to use a regular neckstrap for my uni's marching band and if gave me severe back pains for weeks and then I saw some other members use a harness I asked if I could use it and man the back pain was gone in minutes. I decided to order one myself and since then my back pain when I play sax was just gone. Honestly if I knew of them earlier I would have gotten it sooner. 100% recommend the harness over a neckstrap.
